I stayed here with a friend back in early November for 2 nights. This was one of the cleanest hostels I have stayed in. The rooms and bathrooms especially were spotless. There is a nice place to hang out in. Nice kitchen area. The staff was super friendly. There were a lot of helpful brochures and information about local restaurants,...

Coming in on 27 December when there are no Hotel rooms left in Maui. I remember hostels were the way to go back in College and found this Gem. Booked a private room and just stayed for 2 nights. Thank the owners for the Quiet Hours as I arrived at 11pm to a very quiet room. Shouts out to reception...

It's no Four Seasons, but on a budget, it's great :) It's a very clean hostel...it feels like you are staying with friends. And you can't beat the price. They do have at least one room that is for couples, or if you are an adventurer, the have single sex dorm rooms.

I would recommend the North Shore Hostel in Maui to anyone who wants to travel on a budget, or is traveling solo, both of which were the case with me. The staff is really friendly, and helpful with recommendations on what to do. The other guests are down to go out, so it's easy to find people to go exploring...

I would recommend the Northshore Maui Hostel to anyone visiting Maui on a budget. It is in the heart of Wailuku, a nice little town, which is just a few miles from OGG airport. It is a central location for getting around. There are a couple of good hikes you can take from the hostel and we took in a...

For my first experience staying at a Hostel, this was great! Got affordable and good nights of sleep in a semi private dorm (4 beds). Very clean and tidy. Laundromat (4$ - soap, wash, dry) , internet / computer / printer & local phone calls are free. Even has free satellite TV (limited hours / quiet hours), if anyone wants...

Very clean, quiet, cozy. Great location to surf and windsurf beaches yet also in a quiet area of town. It was easy to get to know the other guests, ride and trip share. Staff are great except for Chris. If all the staff were like him we'd never stay here. He seemed to get enjoyment from being passive aggressive enforcing...

From what I understand, there are pretty much only 2 hostels in Maui.
