Comfortable, clean and convenient stay. We went here because it was close to the venue for our multi-day meet. The cost was decent and I liked having free parking, too. The morning breakfast was at 6 each day and they offered a variety of items. The front desk was friendly. Having laundry facilities was nice, too. They sell detergent and dryer sheets if you need them and their machines take quarters.

Awesome hotel! Located in a shopping centre, the hotel offers free parking and there are no resort fees. It looks and feels like a newer building.
Breakfast was very good. The hotel also provides free breakfast-to-go bags to guests, which was a very thoughtful touch.

The location of the hotel is far away from the hustle and bustle of the area like Honolulu. It only takes about 30-40 minutes to drive into Honolulu. The parking was great with plenty of spaces next to the shopping center. The area had a lot of stores to shop and a Costco to buy gas/groceries if needed. The breakfast was very good with an assortment of hot/cold items. There was an item of concern with Room 211 that had a malfunctioning switch of the shower/bathtub that was inconvenient. It created an occasional flooding as water was coming out the bathtub/shower fixtures.

Room was dusty, carpets didn’t feel clean, mattress was uncomfortable, sheets were scratchy, pillows provided zero support and even with four it went completely flat. Had to watch YouTube video to figure out how to change temperature in room as staff didn’t know how and needed to defer to technicians. Worst part was my partners watch went missing. I will never stay at this hotel or another Hampton Inn & Suites. Staff was not endearing in their response to our concerns. Only good aspects of this hotel was the breakfast, the complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, and the open parking (vs. $47/day in Waikiki)

This hotel is about 45-60 minutes from Waikiki depending on time of day and traffic. Being this far did not bother me as I didn’t care about seeing Waikiki. It was about a 45 minute drive to Lanikai and the north shore. The hotel is attached to a mall (literally). The food around the hotel was not that good. The parking for the hotel and mall and 24 hour fitness are all together. They do have designated spots for guests, but with us getting home late most nights, parking was always an issue. We found the staff to always be helpful. The breakfast was a decent buffet. You order at a table and the staff makes it for you. They have a business center where you can print and use a computer. They have a pool. You have to make a reservation for the pool. 1 hour at a time. The pool area also has 2 washing machines and 4 dryers. The entrance has a small convenience store. You can buy your laundry detergent and snacks there. The front desk has coins for the laundry. In terms of the room, it was average. There was not much of a view. The beds were not that comfortable. For some reason the comforter on both beds would fall off all night. It made for some cold nights. The room has a refrigerator and desk. The bathroom floor was leaching some type of brown liquid out. You could see it coming up between the floor boards. It would turn the towel you put down for the shower into brown streaks. We also had fruit flys in the sink every morning and night. We rarely had food in the room and when we did, we disposed of the food in the trash downstairs. I would say with the location to anything you may want to see in Oahu, I would not stay here again. It was nice that you did not have to pay for parking or a resort fee.

Being on the road often allows you to appreciate the small things that hotels do to go above and beyond. With my first work related trip to Hawaii, I had the pleasure to stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Kapolei/Oahu. This hotel is seemingly brand new, with fantastic rooms, and is in immaculate shape/cleanliness. More importantly, I have found that the staff here is FANTASTIC. There is a young woman who works the front desk by the name of Jara. Of all of the folks that I have encountered as a HiltonHonors member, over the course of the past twenty years... Jara ranks in the top 1%. Kind, cordial, genuine, and extremely welcoming; she makes guests feel absolutely at home here. Jara has made this 23 night stay an absolute joy to take part of. For those in management at Hilton/Hampton Inn, I would strongly encourage you to groom her for upper level management, and positions of increased responsibility and scope. She represents this organization as a top notch professional. One final note, the staff in the breakfast area can also be counted on to go above and beyond for their customers. If you are staying in Kapolei, stay here. You will have no regrets.

We asked if there were beach towels available. They said we could borrow pool towels, so we did. Unfortunately, they were more like hand towels.

Pros: free parking, filtered water dispenser in dining area

Cons: mall location, no beach towels

We are an Army family stationed here in Hawaii. Our home is in one of the areas affected by the water contamination disaster. We needed a place where we could just take a shower, brush our teeth, give our littlest child a bath, etc. in water that is (hopefully) not contaminated by jet fuel. We made a reservation for this evening but when we got there, this hotel TURNED US AWAY because some of us did not have a vax pass. A vax pass which, I might add, is NOT REQUIRED by hotels in HI according to the Safe Access Oahu program. I cannot begin to express how disappointed and disgusted I am with this hotel and their discriminatory policy. My 4yr old was literally in tears because she just wanted to take a bath. Shame on you, Hampton Inn. This is absolutely deplorable.

Aloha Jennifer Rettig, We certainly apologize for any misinformation due to the constant changes however as a business we are strictly following the below guidance from the City and County of Honolulu Safe Access Oahu Business Information. The "Safe Access O'ahu" program requires all customers to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result taken within the previous 48 hours in order to enter the establishment. Although we would have loved to have your family as our guest especially during these circumstances we are regulated by the state to adhere to this policy. https://www.oneoahu.org/safe-access-oahu/#business-templates Mahalo! My spouse and I had such a great staycation. Since this hotel is not in town there is dramatically less traffic than if you booked a hotel in Waikiki. The price is worth the free continental breakfast and parking is right outside the building. It’s also connected to the mall so it’s super convenient for shopping then going back to your room. Loved loved loved our stay. Will come back!

Yes, I believe the front desk at the hotel will store your luggage. Also, sometimes they are nice and might let you do a late checkout for a small fee incase you want to take a shower. I also believe they have a special room in the hotel as well after you check out that you can use equipped with TV and maybe showers
