Detailed Reviews
First let me say that this hotel is wonderful. For those staying here for business or for vacation. The pool is great for kids and is not very deep, and they play movies outside for them on Wednesdays at the pool on a outside projector. The bar area for the adults have something going on almost every night of the week. The front desk staff our above standards and always go out of their way to assist or help with anything affecting your stay. Tiana and Jasmine at the front desk have been outstanding on both of my business trips and made check in and out easy and painless. Whenever you need change for the laundry or getting a drink from the market they go out of their way to make you feel like part of the hotel family. The house keepers (Rodney) are very meticulous and always have my room looking great and smelling fresh and the extra pillows were a nice touch. Every night of the week there are food trucks that show up around 400 pm and hang out till about 900 pm to provide different culture dishes and deserts. you don't have to cook when you get of work, simply walk outside and pick a flavor of the night and everything if pretty low on cost. Starbucks Coffee is simply a 2 min walk away for fresh coffee and a gas station is close by for snacks. Traffic is very low in the area and its about a 30 min drive to Schofield Barracks or Waikiki. The breakfast here is ok and has hot items and fruit. the menu doesn't change really so if your staying here long term, the breakfast gets old after eating the same items everyday. I rate this hotel 5 of 5 and cant wait to come back here and stay again if i'm working on the island.

Staying here while we PCS and we are very glad we chose this location. The staff have been stellar and so kind (with the exception of one manager). Shout out to Rodney, our AMAZING housekeeper, who always makes sure we have everything we need. He is such a bright spot in our day! We also have really enjoyed connecting with the breakfast staff, who make mornings so easy, and front counter staff, who are so welcoming and loving to our pups!
If you are PCSing we can't recommend this hotel enough. It has been great! It is about 25-30 minutes from JBPHH, away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Since we are going to be here 60+ days we are glad we chose to be away from the city. Free breakfast, great pool, plenty of space for storage (drawers and closet), live music on the weekends, and a kitchenette (no oven, if you ask), so we can cook to save money! They do charge for parking but you can find another parking lot to park in at night. :)
Note: This would be a 5 star review if not for how I was treated by a manager when we were not put in the correct size room for our TLA. They did take care of the issue but she was very rude to me to the point I was crying as I walked away. *moving stress ugh*
PCS/TLA Lessons learned: When you make your reservation 1. Make sure you ask which room you qualify for because they do not adjust your reservation automatically, even though they ask for how many people are staying. 2. Ensure that they will match your TLA AND that it is notated on your file. 3. I was told that I had to notify them AT CHECK-IN that we may leave sooner than our reservation in order to not be charged an extra night. We did commit to giving a 24-48 hr notice if we were to cut it shorter. (This could be a costly mistake if you weren't told this. TLA isn't going to pay for that extra day they are charging.) 4. Ask them to note that you do not want a room with an oven, so that you will get full per diem to cover food costs.
It would be nice if they had a military liaison so that there is no confusion on rooms, rates, fees, etc...
Again, we are so happy to be staying here. In the midst of a crazy move it is a relief to have a nice place to stay with friendly people!

Aloha 465jamier, I recognize your time is valuable and appreciate the feedback you have provided. Receiving warm and friendly service from our staff sets the tone for a great stay. This was not your experience, and I sincerely apologize for failing to meet your expectations. We are investigating the situation and will take proper action to make sure that this does not happen again. I am also happy that we were able to turn your stay around. We take pride in the people we hire here on property and it is encouraging that our housekeeping associate Rodney went above and beyond during your stay. We hope you choose to stay with us again, Mahalo,

This hotel sits in a great location outside the busy city but close to many amenities including restaurant and a mall. The property is kept very clean and has daily events for guests to enjoy. Another bonus is there are food trucks located outside in front every evening including amazing pizza and shaved ice. Starbucks, Raising Canes and 7-11 are next to the property as well. Our room was well equipped with a full kitchen and supplies you’d need to cook in. There’s a nicely equipped gym and relatively large pool with plenty of seating. The bar is open daily in the evening and you’ll find out door picnic tables to use. You can even use has grills if you choose. Breakfast is served daily for 3 hours and there’s plenty of seating. There’s live music on weekends offered for free. Finally, you won’t find better guest services at the front desk. Upon check in and six months later Tiana L has gone out of her way to make our stay special. She handles everything I ever asked for and more. Whether I needed directions, recommendations for places to eat, ideas for places to go, etc. she has always been there to share her invaluable knowledge and to make us feel special. Her attention to us and every customer who approaches her is impeccable and professional. I would highly recommend this property for its comfort, amenities, location and fantastic staff.

Local family staycation for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Unpleasant experience for kama’aina used to Marriott member perks and benefits. Some of the staff are very unfriendly. If you’re looking to rest and relax in quiet, this is NOT the hotel for you. Private parties in the hotel lobby bar and loud music fill the hotel all evening long. Housekeeping was very attentive, and front desk agent Anthony was genuinely helpful. Other than that, this is a downgrade to Residence Inn properties and/or the Ko’Olina Beach Club. Unfortunate because we really wanted to enjoy the amenities and all the Inn had to offer.

If you are staying long term and you have a pet DO NOT STAY HERE. We were not told until we arrived that we would be charged a $300 deposit PLUS $40 a night in pet related charges. We are military and had to stay 35 nights with them so you can imagine how insane that bill became. When I booked the reservation I let them know that we had a 50 lb dog and I was informed that we would be paying $150 in pet fees. It wasn’t until we arrived that I was given the actual charges. Their website does not state these fees and they are not open about it prior to arrival. When I asked the manager about it she told me that I was lucky to be in Hawaii and I needed to get over it. I’m sorry but I would have absolutely stayed anywhere else to save myself close to $3000. There is an embassy suites across the street and I highly recommend you look into that instead. You can still take advantage of the food trucks parked in front of the residence inn and they offer free street parking. Their pet fee is also only a $175 fee. I would have gone this route but we were not told of the charges until we arrived and by then the embassy suites was booked up and we had nowhere else to go.

We were here for several nights before the family flew in for Spring Break at Aulani. If you have traveled for 14 hours from the Washington DC area, and are jet lagged, why pay for an expensive resort for this first night ? While waiting for the family, we had a rental car and explored all over the island. North shore is 45 minutes away and an easy day trip.
All staff we encountered were friendly, kind, responsive, and engaging. The breakfast is on real plates with real silverware. They change up the meat proteins everyday with two different types. Loved the Portuguese sausage with my scrambled eggs.
The rooms were spacious and very clean - Thanks housekeeping crew !
As a Marriott Platinum, my parking was reduced to $20 a night. This is Hawaii, I get it, I’ll pay for parking…
The hotel is nestled in suburbia and has a Starbucks and a Raising Canes chicken carry out next door. They really do have different Food Trucks parked out front every night. I’m not into Food Trucks, but we actually had a great meal from Chicas.
We definitely plan to stay here again while we recover from six hour jet lag prior to our next visit to Aulani.

Great property, well run and friendly staff. Terrific beach access for surfing, Costco right down the street, none of the Honolulu traffic problems and we enjoyed having food trucks out front every evening.
The only downsides were 1) no oven in the rooms and 2) it is silly how much the price increases with number of guests in the room. If not for these we would definitely book again for the whole family.

When we got bumped from our flight and notified the hotel that we were arriving 2 days later than our original arrival date, our original rate was not honored. We were charged way more per night, no consideration given for something that was not our fault.
Prior to arriving at the hotel I called on 3 separate occasions to make sure I had a clear understanding of their pet fee since this was the first time we traveled with our pet. I was told the pet fee was $150. One of the times that I called I was routed to the corporate Marriott number and they put me on hold and called the hotel directly to also confirm the pet fee, they were told the same thing. Upon check in I was told the pet fee was $150. When I checked out, I was charged $300 pet cleaning fee PLUS $40 per night pet fee. I called to dispute the charges as I thought this was a mistake. I explained to the manager how many times I asked about the pet fee. She was rude, unprofessional and kept cutting me off as I tried explaining. DeeDee said, "NOPE NOPE, no one called...there would have been a note on the reservation if someone called." I assured her I did in fact call as well as the corporate offices called. She said, no one called. I asked her if she was calling me a liar, she said I am telling you I am not adjusting the fee. I asked to speak to her manager and she said Paul would call me. I followed up with a call to corporate. They were so shocked by the exorbitant pet fees. They sent an email to the general manager to contact me. They also said that Paul was not the manager and that Tiffany should be contacting me. It is almost a month after this incident and after numerous attempts to get this resolved, I still have not heard from the general manager.
As a Platinum Elite Bonvoy member I have stayed at many Marriott brand hotels and this was by far the worst situation I have ever encountered. I am so disappointed in Marriott and no resolution to this.
Read the other reviews about management here and save yourself the headache. Go to the Embassy Suites a block away. The hotel is nicer, the staff is helpful and friendly and the breakfast is much better.

I have stayed here a few times and yet to get the option to review the hotel on the Marriott site.
I guess the manager doesn’t want any bad reviews.
The rooms used to be cleaned at least weekly but they have stopped that because of Covid or the manager is so mean they employees don’t stay to long.
They have a new trick to slam you with a $25 fee for Carbon Neutral which his a water bottle and a bag with there name on it.
There is only 1 good manager at the site you can get anything from. The 2 female ones are know to be quite rude and unhelpful.
Don’t expect Marriott status to matter here. The is no upgrades and trying to get a quite room is a big hassle
They charge for parking ($25) and you must show the card in the dash and don’t let move or the ink wear out. They will get you for $225 tow fee. And the tow people don’t check with the front desk before towing. You think you would get something for the parking fee.

Enjoyed our stay so much. The breakfast provided each and every day is run by the friendliest people. Always greeted with a smile and lots of choices for breakfast. The room we had was a suite with small kitchen, very nice. All the employees we encountered we very nice and professional including the front desk and the housekeepers. Kiana, one of the housekeepers even took time to help us locate a certain beach we were hoping to visit. Very clean hotel.
