This is a great hotel for families with small kids. The pools are nice and the beach is perfect for kids because the barrier breaks the surf, so there’s minimal waves for kids. They also do a good job keeping the place clean. We had a full kitchen that we put to use and the balcony definitely adds a nice touch.

We stayed 7 nights at the Ko Olina Beach Club. Our greeting upon arrival was welcoming and friendly. Our room was lovely and clean. The resort provided masks for guests but did not enforce that guests wear a mask when indoors in common areas. This made for uncomfortable situations. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The resort was extremely crowded and children were everywhere. The main pool with the water slide was closed several afternoons. Not sure if a child had an “accident” or what. This caused the serenity pool and pool behind it to be the new splash area for the children. Not very relaxing and definitely not serene. Activities were limited and overall not very Hawaiian. The shuttle bus to area restaurants was discontinued. Covid is the newest excuse for eliminating services and activities but other hotels are still providing these things by limiting attendance.

We are leaving this beautiful place today. We came to this property for the beach so our younger kids could swim. It did not disappoint! One of the most beautiful beaches. We had a two bedroom villa that was more than spacious for our family of 6. Our villa was clean and had all the amenities needed. If we needed fresh towels we called for them and they came quickly. Our kids enjoyed shaved ice everyday. Shout out to Jordan at the activity hut. He was super sweet with my kids. Insider tip- they have a punch card for shave ice. The staff were very nice. We ate at the property numerous times and the food was what you would expect for pool service. I did see other guests getting upset over long lines at the bar. Please be nice to all the staff. The travel industry is dealing with staffing struggles and the poor folks that do come to work should be treated with respect. Come with your patience and a kind heart. The only negative is there is not a lot of food options around the hotel. We normally go to Maui but wanted to try this hotel for its beach. Words cannot describe how beautiful this property is. Costco is close so you can grab items to stock up on. We rented beach chairs a few times which was great! Our family has many wonderful memories we are leaving with!

Service at the little store was unfriendly and felt like they were doing us a favors by being there. The larger Hawaiian lady should not be working with the public!!! Very rude !!! Needs a few lessons in manners and how to treat customers. The young boy at the till was look Like he was scared of her!! I would be too!!! That store has a lot Of potential, as a retail store owner I do understand how hard it is to get good help!! But I’m sure u can fine better!!!!!

We decided to book the Marriott Ko Olina so that our 2 families could relax and enjoy the lagoon and the pools for our family reunion (from Boston and San Jose). We checked in early and while the room wasn't ready yet, the check-in was efficient and friendly. Unfortunately What we booked on the Marriott Bonvoy website: a 2 bedroom villa with mountain view . What we got at check-in, a view of the parking lot and the valets running to and from with not even a peak at a mountain. This is the worst view we have ever had in any hotel room ever! Do not let them book you into the Nai'a Bldg in 30340 We didn't get off to a good start This hotel does not have enough lagoon cabanas or umbrellas for rent for the size of the hotel. Despite a lot of empty cabanas and umbrellas along the lagoon, we were told that all of the cabanas and umbrellas were already rented for the day. Then we tried to put up our own shade along the beach that was weighted down with beach sand, but were asked to take down the shade due to "guest safety" - what about the safety hazard in us getting sunburned?! :b On at least 2 of the nights that we were there, the pool that my son wanted to play in was closed at 7:30pm even though the stated pool hours were 10pm.

Aloha, thank you for your review of your recent stay at Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club. We are sorry to hear about your disappointment with the villa you received during your time with us. As a vacation ownership property, Owners do receive priority on villa location, however all owners and guests may please preferences with the Front Desk up to 21 days prior to arrival. We apologize you were unable to rent a cabana, these are rented on a daily basis and the renter is able to come and go in those during specific hours. Lastly, we apologize if a pool was not open through the duration of the day. We are aware the waterslide has limited hours, but not the pool. We will share this with the appropriate leaders for review. We thank you for staying with us and hope to provide a better experience during a future stay.
