After picking up my rental car and following the instructions sent to me to find Hale 'Nalo Beach Rentals, I was soon at the Inn and settled in my garden room. I was surprised at the spacious size of the suite and the spa-like elegance. There was a small kitchen which I used only to cut my papaya and other...

Looking at the website photos, reading the description and considering the price we were expecting a private secluded, self contained space. What we found was a bedroom in a house with a thin common wall to the other guests so that everyone knows what's going on. The "Foyer" was actually a common room adjoining the bedrooms and your door is...

We appreciate this feedback, however, additional information is in order. Our two Garden Suites do not adjoin our home; they do, however, share a wall which is not sound "proof”, making these suites best suited for those seeking peace and quiet, day and night. For those wanting more privacy, we recommend the ZEN Treehouse; for those seeking enough privacy for...

Just returned from 14 nights spent in Zen Treehouse and I can honestly say that this place was simply amazing. This was our 7th trip to Hawaii and we wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. As a bit of background, people have told me that I am a bit 'tough' when it comes to places...

Like others I did alot of research into where to stay in Oahu. When I stumbled upon Hale Nalo ihere, all I read were great comments. Well, I am I not going to disappoint you here. We booked the Zen Tree house for 5 nights, and every time we came back from an excursion, it felt like coming home. There...

We stayed at Hale Nalo for eight nights in the Mauka Garden Suite. We really enjoyed the close proximity to the best beach ever (Waimanalo). The room had a very comfortable bed, good bathroom, small kitchen area, and a little table in the corner where we set up our laptop. We spent a lot of time sitting outside in the...

We just returned from a week in Zen. My new wife and I had planned our wedding and honeymoon in Oahu for a year. We took our time looking for the perfect place to stay. After narrowing down the area we found Hale Nalo and read the great description written by the care taker and other reviews we found written...

We stayed in Zen for a week. It was a wonderful experience. The inn is in a quiet residential area apart from the highway. At night, many stars glitter surrounded in gentle wave sound from the beach. In the morning, we are awakened by lively birds' songs. The room is on the second floor, and the interior is coordinated in good...

As an avid trip advisor reader, I found the Zen Tree House and its great reviews and immediately knew I wanted to book it for my upcoming June wedding in Waimanalo. With family and friends also in Oahu for the wedding, we had two couples, my brother and sister in law, and another couple who we thought would love to...

We greatly appreciate the 4-stars and kind words despite this difficult situation. We try to convey to travelers (on our website and vacation rental listings) that our property is tailored very specifically for adults looking for a quiet retreat-like experience, but sometimes this message is inadvertently missed and we get travelers wanting more of a lively party house. We think...

We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon and picked Hale Nalo for the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. It was beauiful, we loved the treehouse with our fresh fruit basket and a selection of Hawaiian drinks awaiting us. The room has everthing needed for the stay...from fully furnished kitchen, living room area with tv and dvd player and movies, to the most...

My husband and I stayed at Hale Nalo in the Zen Treehouse during the week of August 3rd to August 9th 2011. It was our 13th anniversary and we wanted to experience O'ahu away from the crowds of Waikiki. This place is the place to stay if you want to hear the ocean at night, feel the ocean breeze and...
