Visited with my husband who was there for business. Two weeks on American Samoa -- wasn't sure what I'd really find, but using Trip Advisor and also first hand accounts from other travelers, we decided that the Tradewinds was the best place for our needs. It's clean, clean, clean. The service is prompt, efficient, friendly and spot on. Beds were...

Being it is was our first time in Samoa, we did not have any high expectations for comfort or service, however the Tradewinds surprised us. The 5-star rating we give them is not compared to the true luxury resorts we have been at, but we were pleased with the staff, service and somewhat quality of the hotel/rooms (we saw the...

Rooms are large, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Restaurant offers a good variety and excellent quality for a very reasonable price. Wine is also very well priced. Very hard to fault this Hotel for a business trip. Wifi is better in some parts of the hotel than others however you can purchase wifi access from reception for a local mobile...

This is by far the most 'modern, western' appearing hotel on the island. They are the go-to for business travellers with some sort of relationship with the Choice Hotels. That said there are pluses and minuses. They definitely have a roach problem, on a tropical island it is hard to get around, but this place seems to have an infestation....

In October and November we stayed twice in this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff was always friendly and helpfull. The food in the restaurant was good. But not so much choice. The staff in the restaurant was friendly but need to learn a lot about how to serve food, We often had our starter at the...

We flew here from Samoa for one reason only, to cross the dateline and celebrate the new year twice. We were only staying here one night for new years eve and unfortunately Polynesian airlines left our luggage behind in Apia which is a common occurrence (be warned!) We were obviously concerned with our luggage missing and the staff at Tradewinds...

Stayed at the Tradewinds Hotel for a long weekend of business. After driving the island it was the most modern of all the accommodation types on the island. We were torn between this and Sadie's by the sea but the more modern accommodations of Tradewinds won hand's down. Be forewarned that the wifi as other stated is only available in...

We just returned from a family reunion in American Samoa. Our family there booked Tradewinds Hotel and we loved our time there! The grounds, rooms, all the open areas are very clean and well maintained. The pool was perfect. We ate breakfast and the food was very good with large portions. The free breakfast was adaquate but we ended ordering...

Very happy with help there. I left my iPhone and they were able to send it through to me after I left. I found an email saying they had it which was a relief. Many thanks for your help. Nice room too.
