We stayed here for three nights while visiting Acadia. I booked a king room and was given a handicap room near the lobby. We did not request this room type. The room was clean, the bathroom was huge, the bed was comfortable. We didn’t have any maid service. We were given a check list to fill out and leave outside our room. Everything was left in a plastic bag outside our door. I checked off what I wanted for the remainder of our stay to make it more convenient. We left our trash and used towels outside the room. They left everything I requested without entering our room. I left my trash outside the second day but it was never picked up. The breakfast room was located across the street. The woman who works there (Lori, I think her name is) was so nice and accommodating. She remembered how I took my tea the second day we were there. There were plenty of options, hot and cold. The gentleman working the front desk when we checked in was very helpful and pleasant. All of the employees were really nice. This hotel is located a few miles from the entrance to Acadia NP and a 10 minute walk to the downtown area. It’s very convenient. There is a grocery store within walking distance. For the price this is a good option while visiting Bar Harbor. I’d definitely stay here again.

This is just outside the downtown area. Breakfast is across the street. Due to covid the buffet is not open. You get your choice of 2 options for hot food and you can order cold things like cereal or yogurt. Everything was wrapped in plastic at the hotel the towels, remote, everything.

Thank you for the time to write a review. It is nice to see you mentioned the breakfast. With Covid 19 we could not do our regular buffet and wanted to add a hot item to our menu. We hope to see you again Sincerely Jeannine Brooks General Manager

We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again the next time we're in Bar Harbor for the following reasons: 1) CONVENIENT LOCATION: It's only a 10-15 minute walk to the Bar Harbor restaurants and shops which is nice if you don't want to deal with finding street parking. It's also pretty much right by the Park Loop Road which takes you to all of Acadia's sites. We rolled out of bed and got right on Park Loop Road to watch the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain. 2) CLEANLINESS: The room was spotless clean. We were traveling during the covid-19 pandemic and appreciated that the remote control and towels were individually wrapped. They had masks in individual bags readily available at the front desk, and had a bottle of hand sanitizer in our room. 3) FREE BREAKFAST: I always like the convenience of having breakfast included and available at the hotel while on vacation so that I can eat quickly and head out to sightsee for the day. There were numerous items on the menu for breakfast including pancakes, sausage/ham, breakfast burrito, cereal, hard broiled eggs, chobani yogurt, oatmeal, bagels/toast/muffins, juice/coffee/tea/hot chocolate, etc. Coffee is always available at the lobby which is nice for caffeine addicts like me who like to drink multiple cups throughout the day. Things needing improvement: 1) WIFI: Wifi was spotty from our room which was on the 1st floor right next to the lobby in the main building. 2) Shower drainage: the water in the shower did not drain fast 3) Heater/AC: We had the temperature set to 69 degrees but I think the thermometer was way off so the room got too hot which interrupted our sleep.

Natalie Thank you for the wonderful response. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the Convenient Location, Cleanliness and Free Breakfast. We are also glad to see the need improvement list. We always are working on the WiFi, with Bar Harbor so busy and our hotel being surrounded by granite it is difficult to get full signals. The systems are not use to so many different items being used at one time by so many families. We will look into the Heater and shower drain and wish you had told us so we could have sent maintenance in at the time. Sincerely Jeannine Brooks General Manager

Me and my fiancé enjoyed our stay for the night. The room was beautiful and clean. The only issue we had was the receipt I was given said one price and the hotel took out more from my account. I emailed the GM and its been a week and still no reply.

Good Morning Stephen I apologize for the late response. With Covid 19 my responsibilities at the hotel have been so different with little time at the desk for response. I do not remember getting an e mail and hope that you got this resolved. The only thing I can think is that the room charge without the tax was the receipt and the tax is added on for the final receipt. We are glad you had a great stay. The only downside was that the breakfast was cold (cheese omelets, sausage). It also included coffee, juice, toast, fruit cup and danish. Otherwise, we enjoyed a spacious clean room with king bed, free wi-fi and a hilltop pool.
