Located on 12 beautiful acres just one mile from downtown Bar Harbor and the main entrance to Acadia National Park, the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel offers an ocean view from every room. Our brand new Atlantic View building offers everything you would expect from a modern hotel with fantastic views. Close enough to all the action of town, but just far enough away so you can relax. Our new rooms, friendly staff, and seasonal packages are the perfect combination of quality and value. Let us show you how beautiful the Maine coast can be.The AO is proud to announce the Grand Opening of its all new Bistro on Eden, a full service restaurant and bar.And with a great location comes great responsibility. The Bistro on Eden is a warm, lively restaurant and bar where people can be themselves and meet others in a friendly, comfortable setting. Overlooking Frenchman's Bay it offers smashing views and intimate outdoor seating, where every seat faces the Atlantic Ocean. We feature great tasting fresh, seasonal comfort cooking with ingredients that are primarily sourced from local, small scale vendors. Above all you can expect warm, genuine service. That is something upon which we pride ourselves. We are located inside the lobby of the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel, 119 Eden St. Bar Harbor, and Maine 04609. Open Wed. ~ Sat. 5Pm ~ 9pm

As a frequent visitor to Bar Harbor, and a huge Acadia National Park fan, I am picky about where I stay. I recently tried the Atlantic Oceanfront Hotel and found that I like it even better in some ways than the Bar Harbor Inn. The Atlantic is quieter - no tourists scrunching beneath your balcony on the Ocean Walk, talking and taking pictures. The views at Atlantic rival that of BHI. BHI rates high for its charm, location and dining, but for hiking advice, the Atlantic is staffed with friendly experienced hikers who always have tips of trails I didn't know about. I don't feel bad about comparing the two resorts since they are now owned by the same great management team, which is why I recognized some BHI staffers now at the Atlantic Oceanside. Tell manager Kelly that I sent you! TIP: if you stay in the main building, don't stay on the first floor. Views can be obstructed. And that soft water noise you hear outside? It's a creek running through the property -- beautiful!

My heart is absolutely broken that I can’t take this place back to Tennessee with me. Our room was perfect!! Family suite with a private king room and 2 queen beds for the children. The ocean view was phenomenal. The staff was so friendly and made us feel like family from the beginning. Check in and check out were a breeze. By far the most well maintained, cleanest, comfortable hotel we have ever stayed in. We stayed 4 nights at the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel and we ate at The Bistro all 4 NIGHTS!!! There was no reason to go anywhere else. We tried places for lunch but absolutely nothing compared. The food was beyond amazing. The CHEF & STAFF were the best we had the whole time we were in Maine!! This is definitely my go to place when I’m in town. Thank you for making our trip so tasty and welcoming!! Do yourself a favor and stay at this gorgeous place!!

We stayed at the Atlantic ocean side hotel for four nights in November 2020 for Thanksgiving. Our room was in the separate building and had a gorgeous view of the Atlantic. The room was large, immaculate, beautifully decorated and came with two queen beds, a refrigerator and a microwave, which made eating during Covid much easier. The bathroom was also immaculate and new. The main hotel had a heated indoor pool and served complimentary breakfast every morning which they pre packaged and had ready for pickup due to Covid.

We decided to take a last minute trip to Bar Harbor. This hotel was perfect for the trip. It was a reasonable price with a gorgeous view from the room. The room was very clean. We also enjoyed the free breakfast. The system was perfect for these times. They give you menus so you can choose your breakfast. You drop the menu in a mailbox. In the morning you pick up your breakfast at the time you selected so you can eat in your room. Was perfect before a day of hiking in beautiful Acadia. Would recommend this hotel for any one going to Bar Harbor. It is not downtown but not an issue in Nov. Also a very good restaurant at the hotel. It is small especially during Covid times.
