If you're looking to stay in the town, this is a great place to stay. It's conveniently located (you can walk to things in the town). The rooms are large and clean, and the staff is SUPER friendly and helpful with suggestions. They're making extra efforts to be as COVID safe as possible, with hand sanitizer everywhere, and everyone masked. Currently, they are offering housekeeping service, though they tell you -- if you have any concern, you can decline. Breakfast -- to be honest, the are emphasizing safety. Everything is wrapped individually. There are a number of options, cereals, egg sandwiches, yogurts, breads, etc. etc. etc. It will fill the bill - and if you want more, there are places in town to go to. Overall, a great place, with great location, and friendly staff. Who can ask for more.

This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in since covid. When we arrived they gave my son a free stuffed animal soft deer, he loved it! The room is nice, spacious, as well as the bathroom. I love eucalyptus and they have all B&B works stress relief in the bathroom. They also include a small sanitizer for you. There were lightbulbs out in the bathroom and they came up and fixed them within five minutes. I needed toothpaste and they asked if I minded if they brought it up to the room to me! What service. We came back the second day and housekeeping had been in, I was not expecting this, as since covid I haven’t seen housekeeping. It was a splendid surprise. They gave another sanitizer in the bathroom to take and they left a nice handwritten note on the hotel paper pad. The breakfast options are mostly to go items but a great array and so many options. Being gluten free, I was very happy to see a few gluten free options too! They also have coffee available 24/7.

Perfect location for a two-day trip to Acadia National Park in the spring! The room was spotless, good breakfast choices with Covid restrictions in mind, nice table and comfortable chairs to eat our take-out dinners. The staff was accommodating and everyone wore masks. Very near Cadillac Mountain and the ring road, as well as in walking distance to many restaurants and the Shore Path in town. Also, perfect time of year for a good price and very few people on the trails.

Very pleased with our stay at the hotel and the offerings. The front desk staff was very helpful from the time that we made our reservations through the time that we checked out. The room was more than we needed and the breakfast offerings were nice as well. The location within Bar Harbor and its proximity to Acadia was perfect in allowing us to spend the daylight hours in the park and enjoy the town and all of its shops and restaurants in the evening - far fewer restaurants open this time of year. We will be back !!

The Grand Hotel has done the best job of "covid" grab and go (or sit) breakfast we have seen. Some stuff to microwave, good selection of other breakfast food. Well done. Good location just a few streets up from the Common. Things were still crowded even after Columbus Day.
