We made reservations at the Moseley based on other reviews here- and they were spot on! We spent one night in the Sargent room (with it's own small porch - just wonderful for breakfast), and two nights in Precipice. Both rooms were very large - much larger than any hotel room - with comfortable King beds, soft sheets, and fluffy towels. Due to Covid, we had to preorder breakfast each day and it was delivered to the room like room service - frankly, not a down side to that! It was delicious and you had many choices to pick from. Home made cookies were available in the afternoon in the lobby area as well! Free parking, very close to the Shore Walk and downtown, I could go on and on. Wonderful choice - and we'll be back for sure.
Stayed 3 nights at the Moseley Cottage Inn in the hotel section. The hotel section does not come with breakfast but it can be ordered for $15 per person per day. We opted to eat at local restaurants for breakfast. The room was clean, comfortable, warm, but a little dated. The location was very convenient to downtown Bar Harbor and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
This quaint inn with spacious rooms was clean and was in close proximity to all shops and restaurants, and even with substantial traffic around the village center was easy to leave and return. The breakfast was perfect and allowed us to eat here and avoid the longer lines at area coffee/breakfast spots. We will not even look for another inn next year and comfortably book again.
Charming 1884 Victorian half a block off of Main St in the heart of Bar Harbor. We stayed 4 nights in the Sargent Room. Large room with king-sized bed, working fireplace/stove, loveseat, small desk, table-for-two, and a large flat screen TV. Large walk-in closet with mini-fridge, roll-away bed, and lots of room for luggage. Room bathroom with shower/tub. Large covered porch with wicker loveseat, 2 chairs and table. If you are looking for a sleek, modern, minimalist Scandinavian hotel...this is NOT the place for you. But if you are looking for a warm, charming, and comfortable home away from home, this is the place. We would definitely stay there again. As for COVID-19 precautions, they (like most of Maine that we visited) took it very seriously and were very fastidious in there commitment to safety.…
We had a great time in bar harbor. This inn was a nice way to say farewell to get the Maine experience in the coziest way possible. Everyone was very nice and the rooms were nice and clean. Thanks a lot and I recommend Galyn to eat
