We decided to brave Maine in January despite most people telling us we were crazy. The Saltair was one of the few places open in the off-season and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It has spacious, clean rooms and is walking distance to town. Matt and Kristi are very friendly and were able find us plenty of...

My family stayed for four days and all four of us loved it and will be back. Arrived a few days after Christmas. Someone warned us that we were visiting Bar Harbor at the wrong time of year, but we went for it anyway and were very pleased. The weather cooperated, so it turned out to be a nice time...

We arrived in Bar Harbor on a cold, wet and windy Saturday in late October. After a long drive from Boston in wind and rain, we were glad to check into our next destination. We booked the room on the second floor with views of the Bay. The room was great even if the weather wasn't. I love fireplaces in...

We stayed at the Saltair two nights and had a great experience. Matt and Kristi were tremendous in recommending things to do and hikes in Arcadia. The location is ideal for walking downtown for lunch, drinks and dinner. The property is also right on the water and very close to the sand bar you can walk to Bar Island at...

My wife and I stayed here during the off season for four nights. Matt and Kristi, the innkeepers, are truly good people. They're friendly, easy going, and very knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast is top notch. Best blueberry pancakes I've ever had! The view from the back of the property is stellar and it's literally right next to the...

Beautiful B&B in an outstanding location run by a lovely family. We stayed for four nights and were very well looked after with fabulous breakfasts and outstanding accommodation, The views from our bedroom were just stunning, overlooking Frenchman's Bay. Lots of recommendations for places to eat and activities and even the loan of blankets for an early morning trip up...

We stayed two nights with Matt and Kristi at the conclusion of the fall season. The Inn has a beautiful view, great location to town and Acadia and comfortable, well appointed rooms. Breakfasts were delicious and were the perfect start to a day of hiking. If we go back to Bar Harbor, we'll definitely stay at the Saltair Inn.

Our family group of 5 adults had a great, all-too-short stay at Saltair Inn. It is conveniently located on the water, almost next to the low tide only land bridge to Bar Island, which we walked. We were warmly greeted by Kristi and Matt plus Digger the dog. Rooms are lovely, breakfast great, and restaurants and shops are a short...

The hosts Matt and Kristi were extremely friendly, helpful and informative. Matt provided us with so many great recommendations of sites to see, walks to take and restaurants to visit. The Inn is beautiful, spacious, very clean and well-maintained. The inn is a short walk to the namesake 'bar' of Bar Harbor, so you can walk across to Bar Island...

We had a wonderful stay at the Saltair Inn in Bar Harbor. This was our first visit to Maine. Matt & Kristi were such welcoming hosts. They (Matt and his daughter) greeted us when we arrived and then served us the best blueberry pancakes for breakfast. The location of the Saltair was perfect. After long days of hiking at Acadia,...
