Bar Harbor Campground met all of our tent-camping needs with large, level, quiet, family-friendly campsites, super-clean restroom/shower facilities, easy to find location that is close to Bar Harbor. We stayed 2 nights and the staff was very helpful giving us directions and recommendations on how best to enjoy the area, especially during peak tourist season. Internet connection was slow, but... Bar Harbor Campground is one of the cleanest, quietest and family friendly campground. I spent Labor Day weekend with my daughter and grandchildren. Had to get the feel for nature and sleep in a tent. The low 50's temp upon rising... BRRRR... but worth it! The restrooms, pool and campsites are clean. Everyone that works there are super friendly and... More

The service is excellent! You can ask as many questions as you like and they will help you. We were lucky and had an ocean view site (5). There are lots of little walks for dog lovers. The only downside is that the internet is very , very slow away from the office. I had to do some work and... More

Very nice campground just outside bar harbor and it has a bus stop that will take you to town or the visitor center at Acadia national park. Ocean views or the woods. For what you pay to camp here the showers s/b free.

We extended our stay because we were so comfortable here and liked it so much. We had a great site (B7) with full hook-up. Our neighbors at the site were extremely friendly and helpful. The staff at the office assisted us with tour ideas, maps and dinner suggestions. We even had lobster dinner delivered to our camp site. The staff... More

We arrived a little bit after dark, was told prior in the season we don't need a reservation. We were told they only have a couple sites one being 50 amp. The spot he told us, was 30amp and the site is so unlevel. We have a 44ft RV. Full site hook up, consist of a 4 inch clean out... More

We normally stay at Hadley Point Campground while in Bar Harbor, but there was not a spot to be had, so we went over to Bar Harbor Campground. They do not take reservations, and we were pleasantly surprised. It is closer to town, a shorter ride on the Island Explorer, and our location was private, nicely wooded, and very relaxing.... More

We are retired so the no reservation policy works for us. It's the main reason we come here. We have a 20 foot travel trailer - many of the sites are extremely out of level. The sites are mostly spacious enough though not overly so. Our experience has been that the campground is quiet.

This was our first time at Bar Harbor Campground. The people in the office were very friendly and our site was nice and clean. The bathrooms were good and the campground was really quiet at night which we thought was great. This campground is in a great location with family diner a short walk away and a beautiful mini putt.... More

We came to stay 3 days and enjoyed it so much, we stayed a week! Lots of wooded campsites as well as some open sites and a number of sites with an ocean view. We were excited to go into the field behind the campground and pick our own wild blueberries. All facilities are clean and well maintained. All staff... More
