Enjoy your stay in Bar Harbor!
We enjoyed our three nights in a one bedroom cottage. The bed was comfortable, kitchen suited our needs, and the bathroom was fine. The shower is extremely tiny, though, and some large adults might have a problem with it. There was a heater but it did not seem to be connected to anything and didn't work. Overall, though, the accommodations were lovely and I would stay here again.
Well-run motel near Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor village. The owners are eastern European (Polish?), so it wasn't a surprise it was super-clean and family oriented. Our room was very clean, nice shower, quiet environment. Can't ask for more. There is a nice outdoor pool (which we didn't use) but it also appeared clean. Owners were accommodating. Would recommended this motel for families.
We enjoyed a long weekend in Bar Harbor, and Sunnyside was a great no-frills place for us. Nice owners, clean, cute cottage, conveniently located about 8 miles from downtown. Clean and refreshing pool, as well.
We visited Maine in early July and had the pleasure of staying at Sunnyside. We had 1 cottage and 1 motel room. Both were clean and pleasant. The cottages did not have AC, the motel rooms did, but it was not a problem for us. The owners were very kind and accomodating. The pool was a big plus! Overall, great place to stay for a trip to Maine.
