Travellers' Choice
Spectacular Ocean and Mt Views await your arrival from the private hilltop location overlooking Frenchman Bay, the Porcupine Islands, and the Mountains of Acadia National Park. Hampton Bar Harbor is the newest flagged property on Mt Desert Island, and is located just one mile from the hustle and bustle of the Harbor activities, restaurants, and shops in downtown Bar Harbor; accessible by car (2 min.), walking (active guests only - 15 min.), and the free Island Explorer Shuttle (late June - early Oct). It's hilltop location is peaceful and quiet, and the property itself provides easy access to all amenities (heated pool, large fitness room, complimentary continental breakfast, business & kid centers, outdoor patios, suite shop, etc.), all within one structure. Acadia National Park is just one mile from the hotel, with easy access for biking carriage paths, driving up Cadillac Mt, and exploring the Park Loop Rd. Book a Harbor View guest room with balcony, for the very BEST experience in Bar Harbor; watch a peaceful and spectacular sunrise! COVID restrictions may apply.

We loved this location high up on the hill with a beautiful view of the harbor with all the boats. Clean fresh looking hotel with two pools. Wonderful breakfasts in am and fresh pastries all wrapped you could grab to take with you.

Hotel's Favourite
Although Hampton Inns are not usually considered one of Hilton’s luxury brands, everything about this hotel was first rate! It is located on a hill just outside of Bar Harbor village, away from all the congestion, traffic, and noise, and only a short drive from the entrances to Acadia National Park. From it’s hilltop perch, there are amazing views of the village, the ocean, the harbor and islands, the mountains in the distance, and sunrises across the water. The hotel itself is very modern, clean, and well maintained. I don’t think that we ever passed through the lobby without seeing staff members cleaning or polishing something, or working on the landscaping. Our rooms were amazing. We were traveling with family and paid extra to book two of the premiere 2 Qn, ocean view, balcony rooms, and the experience was absolutely worth the extra expense. The rooms were huge, about the size of two standard hotel rooms put together, and both rooms had million dollar views of the ocean, village, harbor, and sunrise. These rooms were both very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is included in the stay. It was the standard hotel buffet, but everything was fresh, well stocked, and tasted good, and there were plenty of tables and seats. The staff were great. Everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Overall, an excellent hotel! Like most hotels, there are rooms with amazing views, and rooms on the backside that face the parking lot. I recommend that you pay for an upgraded room with a view.

New and clean. Large room . Outdoor heated pool was such a pretty setting with the Mountain View! Expensive but it seems worth it. Breakfast was better then the other Hilton hotels I’ve been to. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Another great trip to Bar Harbor & Acadia. Hotel was excellent. Only complaint I would have was the breakfast. Could have had more variety available. The location was great also. Would definitely stay here again.
