We just moved to Maine in December and finally made it up to Acadia National Park! After trying to get into the park and finding many access points closed, we felt discouraged about deciding to come up during the winter. When we checked in to the Inn, Maddie helped us navigate the park around the winter road closures and gave us well-crafted recommendations for our stay, based our interests. Our room was rear facing which gave us a beautiful view of Cadillac and Dorr mountains out our windows-perfect for sitting by and drinking coffee in the morning. We loved staying here and look forward to coming back when the ice melts to climb Cadillac!
Our stay at The Inn on Mount Desert was amazing! The Inn is located in the perfect spot where everything you would want to do in Bar Harbor (restaurants/shops) is less than a 10 minute walk away and you are not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The Inn was the best combination of clean, new and modern but also had the local charm and nautical feel of a Bar Harbor bed and breakfast. In other words this was FAR from grandma's old rickety bed in a dusty room that you see in a lot of spots in the area. Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. What stood out to us was when I went down to the front desk and asked for a lime (not expecting one but wondering if they had an extra laying around). Ron at the front desk said "we don't, but I could go get you one". Less than 30 minutes later, we had a knock on the door from Ron with 2 limes. Sometimes it's the little things but you really don't get this kind of service everywhere. Amazing long weekend and highly recommend!…
We really enjoyed our stay at The Inn on Mount Desert. The room was clean and very comfortable, Mini fridge, micorwave and coffee in the room were a plus. The breakfast was delicious. But the best part was the staff. They are friendly and very helpful. Maddie's service was outstanding. She helped us with dinner suggestions which is challenging since many restaurants are closed at this time of year. She was also really helpful with suggestions for which trails to use for xcounty skiing and snowshoeing. But mostly Maddie was really kind and friendly and made us feel so welcomed. THis was our first time staying here and ee look froward to coming back.
We visited over Valentines day weekend for a local getaway and had such a great time. The town was really cute. A lot of the shops and restaurants were closed, but we had a great meal at Blaze, and the Inn had great breakfast. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer.
I recently stayed at the Inn while relocating to Maine, and stayed in the Sheep Porcupine Room. The place was perfectly clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was top notch. I was working remotely the few days I was there and was very appreciative of the fast and reliable internet. When I told the manager, Ron, that I was working remotely, he offered the use of their printer if I needed anything and was very helpful. Will definitely be sending friends and family here when they visit.
