This is a perfect boutique hotel in the heart of SF - the area is quite touristy and busy but Zetta is an oasis with a great bar and lounge area and a Blue Bottle across the street. I will stay here any time I am back in the city - for work or pleasure.

When I travel with my wife, we want to eat and drink, see the sights...but more than anything we want to feel welcomed; embraced by our surroundings. She calls it getting a "big hug" from the places we go. In this case, the hug began before we arrived and continued our entire stay. Quite simply, this hotel provided customer service...

We loved the Zetta hotel. Went for Thanksgiving weekend - a family trip with our 2 teenagers. We all loved the place. The playroom is not a marketing joke, it is there and it is prefect to relax after a long sight-seeing day. The staff is super super friendly (Rosemary first!). The Cavalier restaurant is great: superb food, amazing breakfasts (and...

Hotel Zetta reminded me of my stays in NYC. The hip, cool vibe is fitting for the young at heart, the musically inclined, or even the fashionista and hipsters. The location was perfect in more ways than one. Steps in seconds to Westfield and not a long shot from Union Square. What I love most was the ease of getting...

MsGardere, This is great! It's great to hear that you felt the vibe we try to create. "young at heart, musically inclined, fashionista and hipster" are some pretty accurate adjectives if I may so say myself. However more importantly we try to a create a vibe that's simply inviting and welcoming. We hope to have you with us again. Sometimes...

Was booked for 3 persons occupancy in a room with 2 Queen beds. Truly didn't expect how large the room was, the pictures online didn't do it justice. Beds were comfortable, superb amenities, large modern bathroom, a bunch of plugs located bedside, even a USB charging station. Noticed that the luxurious toiletries such as the shower gels, lotions and shampoos...

I had to go to San Fransisco for work and decided to try a different hotel. I'm glad I did as Hotel Zetta was perfect. The check-in was smooth and the employees at the front desk were so nice. The rooms were spacious and clean and had a really cool vibe. The lobby bar was fun and the upstairs with...

Michael C, Glad to hear that your stay with us exceeded the typical "work trip." Our rooms are quite spacious by SF standards, and our bathrooms exceed expectations as well. I'm also happy that you got a chance to sample our bar and playroom. They offer a great way to kick back after a day of work or on the...

This is a centrally located hotel with large adjoining rooms which made for a very comfortable stay. It has a cute lobby and large rooms for us and our 3 teenage kids - with shopping right next door, as well as a decent restaurant on the other side for meals.

mackmarkman, Kids, teenagers & adults all rave about our playroom. Something about a pool table, shuffleboard and giant plinko that appeals to people of all age. Do come back and hang out again, I challenge you to a game of shuffleboard! -Michel N General Manager

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in transition from Oakland to Silicon Valley. The Zetta's location next to BART made those connections ideal since I was also traveling with a bike. Staff were great about allowing the bike in the room and were happy to store it in their secure valet room on the day I checked...

My wife and I recently stayed at the Zetta and it was a very enjoyable stay. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, offering great advice about restaurants and places to visit. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the cable car turnaround and Powell Street train station, the latter meaning no need for an expensive cab in from...

We stayed for four nights including Halloween which was very cool. The hotel staff and many of the patrons were definitely into it. The room was nice with a large bathroom. The staff attempted to address all of our concerns and were totally professional the whole time. I am waiting to hear back from the GM before finalizing this review.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
