We stayed here for one night on the last day of a trip back from Napa. The hotel is simply old and dated. No A/C in the room and the bathroom was horrible. No counter space for any toiletries and the shower small with no water pressure. I am not crazy about the area of the hotel either.

The Kensington is on Post St. right in the middle of all the action: shopping, fine dining (shares an entry with Farallon restaurant and others are very close), theaters (e. g., ACT), Union Square. The hotel has been here for years, is nicely appointed (having had an upgrade recently), its typical rooms are comfortable though not large, and, best of...

Gorgeous view from our rooms, breakfast buffet was our favorite buffet so far. We enjoyed all of the interesting collections from famous Koreans this reminded us of a Korean style Hard Rock Hotel. We arrived in the dark so we didn't see the mountain until we awoke the next morning. I flung the curtains open and gasped at the gorgeous...

The Kensington Park Hotel is centrally located near Union Square. Just next to the cable cars and in walking distance to Chinatown, North Beach, Nob Hill and much more. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The staff is very helpfull.

The Kensington Park Hotel was the first stop on our three week tour of California and I couldn't have been more happy with the room! The beds first of all were extremely comfortable and I slept solidly! The duvets and pillows were top quality. The room had a coffee maker which we used with just hot water and a tea...

The lobby is your first indication that the hotel may be a little off the norm. This is definitely an old hotel and that's okay. However, some improvements would make a lot of difference. The rooms are smallish as are the bathrooms and a little worn. The bed and pillows were good! Our room had some noise coming from the...

We visited for one night, thinking the central location would be a plus. Nope. It's very convenient for wandering in the immediate area, definitely. However - and I wish I had known this - the TRAFFIC in this area is THE WORST I have seen in any city. Far worse than LA rush hour traffic. We spent an hour -...

The hotel is in very good location. It's old, but charming. There's definitely some updates needed, and the water takes a while to get warm, but it's expected for the price range of the hotel. They don't have AC, but since it's spring travel for us, that's not an issue.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this quirky little hotel in March 2017. Perfectly situated in Post St, about 75 yards to Union Square and all associated activities its diagonally opposite the Westin St Francis Post St entrance. It need a major reno. It's very old for the price we paid. They have to start throwing money or this place will fall apart. Rooms were clean and it's a great location. Staff very good. This could be a jewel if they fixed it up.
