Hotel located a bit walking distance and areas where nothing really happends. You need consider and Love to walk to reach central city and Union Street, but calme clean area in Japan town. Lovely rooms and great service but for us too long to reach city lite. Environment very different but truly a great experience. Nice beds and big room... More

Thank You A.K. Glad to know you enjoyed the Queen Anne. I hope you were aware of Fillmore Street 4 blocks away. As there are over 100 restaurants both there and within a short walk of the Queen Anne Hotel. One of the newer ones is "Octavia" just one block away from the Hotel, on "Octavia" Street. It's not to... More

My wife and I stayed in this hotel in March of 2016. The hotel is simply beautiful with lots of antiques everywhere. We stayed in the room with a giant Jacuzzi, which was very nice. While the hotel is not exactly near the waterfront, it is not too far of a walk either. I would recommend this hotel for those... More

It was an older hotel, and the beds weren't great, but for the price in San Francisco, it was decent. It felt a little stale, not much air flow. The breakfast was good. And they do have a parking lot which I don't think is all that common in the area. They do charge for parking, we stayed 1 night... More

Thank You Grace B. Hope you will return for another visit. There is always a week or two in October where it gets hot and the winds slow down. Thankfully, the Queen Anne does have large bay windows that open for fresh air. We also provide fans by request for the rare warm days. More

This is a lovely property and has a great ambiance of antiques, architectural history, and lush colors, fabrics, and shapes. The lobby is amazing with small groups of chairs and couches in clusters where groups can chat and play games, or singles can relax and work on laptops. Our room on the second floor had a refrigerator and views out... More

Thank You JaneSattler, You've made our day with your very thorough and thoughtful review! Hope your daughter had a fantastic Birthday. October can be a little pricey due to convention season... The staff was pleasant and helpful and breakfast was delicious. The room was clean. The elevator was a bit scary, chandelier was dangling. I took the stairs most of the times. It could use a paint job.

Thank Grigore O
QueenAnneHotelSF, Director of Sales at Queen Anne Hotel, responded to this review

Thank You Grigore O. Please don't worry about the elevator... Like all elevators, it is inspected routinely. It's powered by hydraulic rather than cables and the chandelier does wobble a bit as it stops on each floor. I'm sure all the people reading this review are thinking... "Wait a moment, there's a chandelier in the elevator!?" Why yes, indeed there... More

The hotel was amazing. We stayed on the forth floor so we had the chance to see the entire hotel. It is amazing. The staff were very accommodating and polite. Getting around was easy using uber or left. I highly recommend this hotel for people who enjoy historical buildings.

One of few Victorian hotels in San Fran. Reported to be haunted. Stayed several nights; they have evening sherry and cookies...free basic breakfast. Very helpful staff, spacious rooms, somewhat expensive.

Thank You So Much Matt-U63... So glad you discovered the Queen Anne. October is very expensive across San Francisco due to Convention demand. If you're returning to the City between now and June... please have another look as our rates are much lower. Call us directly for very best price! More

I needed a hotel walking distance to Van ness and Geary and found this one on trip advisor. It was well worth the stay. It's old quaint Victorian. Room was clean and quiet. I had no problems. Breakfast was good and the price was right. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good, less expensive place to stay.
