Great advice. Our rooms are very small, as is typical in historic hotels, so more than two people can be too crowded for some people.
Leave the family at home and come back as a couple and you'll be very happy with us.
4 night stay - greeted by professional, friendly and helpful staff. Very welcoming. Room was very comfortable and the bed blissfully so. A little noise from the streets but not as much as we'd anticipated (9th floor back of hotel).

We stayed at Chancellor hotel last weekend. It was a good experience. Heat wave in bay area made it bit tough as hotel doesn’t have AC but we knew about it before we booked so can’t complain. Rooms are small as described by other TA...More

We were happy with our stayed from May 31-June 7,2017. The staff at the front desk was nice & friendly & helpful. Since we booked thru Air BNB we got a nice basket full of towels, soaps and shampoo. Housekeeping was great!
