Don't go there! The first room smelt, the toilet was boken, like the light, it was directly on the street ,we couldn't sleep because of the rumors and most of all because the light of the neon sign on our window. The lady, maybe the chef, was very peevish and arrogant. The first time we asked for another room, first they told us...

We read reviews before booking this motel & decided to try it even though there were some not so good reviews. The main thing you do need to know is that you do want to book a room at the back of the motel, do to the heavy traffic noise on this street. Also be sure that if you are...

Some of the other reviews made me concerned, but I decided to go ahead and try this hotel, since the price was right. The room was very clean, with a large bathroom and a window seat. Our window was right on Lombard Street, which is a major thoroughfare, but we did not have any problems with noise since we brought...

Having toured California we arrived at this hotel for the last two nights of our holiday. It was with some trepidation because, after booking via another site, we saw some negative reviews about the hotel on this website. Well, there were six of us, four in one room, two in another and we were all well satisfied with the hotel,...

Don't ever go here. They charge my account even though I didn't even stay their. My credit card was stolen in San Francisco and someone was using it. I called the manager who is in charge of 10+ hotels and he was rude. I feel like they're out to just get your money. Yes, when you call there is an...

This "Inn" is horrible! First, it starts out with a man coming to the reception desk with no shirt on! Then we get to the room and open the door - the smell on ammonia overwhelmed us. Then we really started to notice the room. It was just a bed in the middle of one room and another room that...

I and my husband spent 4 nights in the hotel. We appreciated the fact that we did not have to pay for a parking. The price was modest and we did not expect luxury but were happy to find out that the room was clean. Also, a bathroom was spacious, modern and clean. The breakfast was very minimal :instant coffee,...

We booked a room on Valentines day and the experience was fantastic. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and rather friendly. When we arrived there where fresh pastries and brewed coffee waiting at the front desk. The room was very spacious, the cable was good. The shower had enough pressure and the temperature of the water never...

We were in town for a 2 day medical appointment and the staff of the The Francisco Bay Inn were friendly and extremely helpful. They helped us in many ways including providing helpful recommendations on the best local Thai place for take out. The room was super clean and the general feeling was that of a homey relaxing weekend. The...

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
