We have just returned from 4 nights at the Columbus Motor inn. We booked the family room which had a queen bed in 1 room and 2 doubles in the other, perfect space for our family of 4 adults. Nothing fancy however everything that we needed and a great price compared to all other hotels in the area. Free parking...

Excellent location, good sized room albeit a tad old fashioned but superbly clean, coffee was excellent (in the room) and just a few minutes walk to fisherman's wharf, Pier 39, Ghirardelli square and china town. Shuttle to & fro Union Park stops right outside. Bike rentals nearby. If you want, you can walk to the golden gate bridge using the...

This inn is located in the Italian district. This place has free parking, so for the money it's well worth it! It's a small place. The room is dated, but is well kept. We only stayed one night, if we were staying more than two nights I would have chosen a different hotel.

Located right on the boarder of Little Italy, Pier 39 area & Ghirardeli Square, walking distance to most tourist attractions, this little hotel is awesome: location, price, free parking right next to the front desk, big & clean rooms, in our case with a view of the Telegraph Hill. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is their...

We picked this motel because we had stayed at a sister motel (Coventry Motel) in another part of San Francisco. It was a bit less expensive so we thought we would try it. Great choice! The location is perfect. About 2 blocks from the beginning of the Powell and Mason Cable car. Easy access to the city bus system. They...

Just a short walk to the Fisherman's Wharf area and Little Italy, super safe to walk to and from things, even at night. Denny's nearby for breakfast. Good fast internet, safe in the room, comfy beds and a super courteous staff...What's not to love. I'd stay here again and I'm sort of snobish when it comes to hotels..

Selected this place after weighing price, location, and reviews. So glad we did! Walgreens and cable car route one block away, only a 10 minute walk to the wharf. We didn't have any issues with leaving our rental car in the parking garage (we made sure nothing was left inside it), and the room was fine for what we needed....

We stayed here in 3 rooms on a family holiday from Australia for 2 nights.First visit to San Fran for all of us.My daughter picked here as it is close to Fisherman's wharf and the ferry to Alcatraz, walking distance, and parking is included. The rooms are clean and comfortable though a little dated,no fridge included but available if required. Free...

Staying in Russian Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner. Combined with several great cafes, restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any visitor would gladly leave their heart in San Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world, and make the slow creep downhill past charming period homes. Polk Street is the main drag in this neighborhood, where you will find trendy bars, cafes and shops populated with locals, but for one of the most charming rides in the city, grab a cable car heading up and down Hyde Street.
