Wasn't sure what to expect and normally stay at very plush resorts, but this was very nice and fun. Good breakfasts, great location, right across the street from the Italian section, clean rooms, although small, and the people there at the front desk are extremely nice and helpful. Having underground parking as part of the hotel was very convenient. It...

The hotel is quite good: small rooms, Chinese design, and friendly staff. The location is at the beginning of Chinatown and it is quite central. Unfortunately, it has 3 big minuses: the bed is not much comfortable, traffic make it very loud in the night, but the nightmare start in the morning when u try to have what they call...

Extremely professional and friendly staff. Nice accommodations, especially for the price. They pay attention to the things that make a difference. Clean, well maintained. Small room, but that's expected in downtown SF. Bed was comfy, and linens were good quality.

Hard to find good cheaper hotels in SF - this is one to consider. Located on the edge of Chinatown and Little Italy surrounded by great restaurants. Hotel was very clean and room was bigger than expected. Staff were very friendly - maybe because its a fourth generation family run hotel. Sure breakfast is basic but its included and more...

Overall satisfied with our stay for 2 nights. Rooms were on the small side but were fine. Walls a bit thin, could hear lot of external noise so just turned the a/c fan on to cover it. Location walking distance from piers if ur able to walk distances and hills. Staff was kind and available

It nice and clean hotel, very well located but comfort and especially breakfast is at low level. For price we paid we expected more. Staff is also nice and helpful. Rooms are not so big with window to inside so you can se anything but they are clean.

I haven't stayed in San Francisco proper for many years - booked this place based on Trip Advisor reviews and a great rate of $149 a night for a twin bed. Yes, some hotels still offer rooms with one twin bed and I saved $50 a night. I stayed three nights, so in effect I got one free. The room...

Nothing good to say about this hotel. Staff are not that friendly. The bed at room 434 makes a lot of noise as you move. No view outside just window facing the wall. Rooms are too small. Furniture needs upgrade. Lightings are dull. Find another place to stay! This hotel is in the heart of China Town. I suggest booking...

The SW hotel is right on the corner between China town, little Italy and the erotic stretch of Broadway. Most things in the inner city are within walking distance and the rest cheap to get to by share car or taxi. The breakfast however is poor, though at least there is one, and the rooms have poor noise isolation and...

This hotel is located in Chinatown but borders Little Italy. Close to stop 3 and 19 for the big bus tour. The staff are extremely helpful and perfect English Jessica was great and so were the other staff. Only a 15 minute walk down Columbus Road/Street to get to Fishermans Wharf. Bag a bargain in Chinatown as fishermans wharf can...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighbourhood decorated with colourful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighbourhood.
