Booked through FHR, which gives $60 in breakfast credit per room (which I think might not be enough for two people but maybe I just eat too much). Used the other $100 credit at dinner, curiously set in the lobby lounge and not restaurant. The food came out to be great nonetheless.

Very speedy and pleasant service. Also absolutely loved the room - a south-facing corner King. The natural light during the day is amazing, and the view of Yerba Buena and to the ocean phenomenal. Room also felt newer than I imagined, and the seating around the window is a great touch.

I would give it 4.5 stars if I could, with 0.5 star deduction for the wellness experience. It's a cool concept to use the Equinox Sports Club, supposedly Equinox's top offering, as the gym and spa. However, in practice, the gym was very crowded during all times of the day, as was the locker room, sauna, and steam room. I'd much gladly trade this for a smaller gym with more privacy.

We could not have been more impressed with the accommodations and the attention to detail of the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Hazel at the front desk who made check-in smooth and easy. The staff went out of their way to prepare the room for our arrival, including leaving a small birthday cake for my 33-year-old son. We will certainly be returning for another stay the next time we're in San Fran!!

I’ve stayed here at The Four Seasons in San Francisco many times and even in a post pandemic world, it’s still the only hotel I’d ever stay at while visiting SF! The hotel truly shines and has amazing pristine rooms in beautiful sleek modern decor, heavenly Four Seasons beds (best in the hotel industry!) lovely soaking tubs, and from the higher floors, stunning views of the city. Absolutely delightful room product. I can confidently say no other competing hotel compares to this. The views from my room (1627) were truly gorgeous.

The food from in room dining is delicious, always promptly delivered and is well presented. The truffle fries are spectacular. The in room dining team is world class, especially Catherine, Jeanette, and Mildred- They have all worked here a very long time and have been taking care of me for several years and are always a joy to speak with over the phone. Really appreciate it. Some of the warmest kindest people ever!

The reception and concierge team are very strong, always guest focused, polite and always remember me. Very special mention to Front Desk agent Jose for his incredible warm service, Front office manager Evelyn was very kind and warmly welcomed me back during my last stay in February 2022, and Mariia also very lovely and kind. Concierge Vanessa worked some magic for me when I needed a watch shop last moment for a repair and she could not have been more gracious and kind to me. :) Gita in sales is absolutely lovely and always graciously assists me with booking.

Housekeeping is always impeccable with strong attention to detail- lens cloth wipe for my glasses is a particular lovely touch and I’ve started collecting them from whenever I stay in a FS hotel.

The doormen will ALWAYS have a good attitude and ALWAYS hold the door open. Never once have they not. Very attentive as well with Ubers and getting cabs. Rock stars!

I absolutely love this hotel. It’s a classic in SF and has graciously changed over the years and always gets better and better. Obviously this is a very well run hotel and it shows each and every time. I’m a huge FS aficionado and this is one of the best in the company!

Planning on returning this summer and of course looking forward to another special stay.

Thank you for always looking after me! One of my favourite hotels in the US!

Sincerely,
Patrick Winkler

Thank you Mr. Winkler for this absolutely delightful review! I am touched by how thoroughly you praised everyone in the hotel: IRD, Concierge, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Sales, Doormen... I am 100% in agreement that Four Seasons SF has the best team in town. I am grateful to you for honoring us in this review. We look forward to seeing you in the summer! With much appreciation, Konrad

Dated hotel that was last updated many years ago. Unfortunately, very tired throughout; Had 3 rooms including a suite. My room was on the 14th floor and was fine, but not up to a Four Seasons' standard; Old furniture from mid-1990's; Food in the restaurant was good, but service was a bit spotty. The elevators and lobby reeked of marijuana much of the time. The staff were professional throughout. No fault of the hotel, but the area around the hotel has really deteriorated in this formerly great city. Lots of vagrants and crazy people everywhere; Stores have limited product and what they do have, is guarded by locked cages. The management should either abandon this location or put some resources into this hotel, which I surmise may not be a great investment, given the poor state of this once great city. If you have to visit San Francisco, would suggest staying elsewhere. I was really excited about returning to this city/hotel, but was thrilled to leave unfortunately.

If I didn’t love this hotel for their complimentary Lavazza coffee and fresh chocolate muffins in the morning, the excellent equinox with complimentary access for guests then it would have been the incredible service of everyone I met. A few examples. The concierge jumping into action to find me a notary for work immediately available upon asking. Assistance getting setup for a conference call very early in the morning when my computer wasn’t working and ensuring I had all the supplies I needed after they were sure I was setup. Greeting me by name throughout from day one. Amazing. I truly felt like I was returning home.

I’ve stayed in all the top San Francisco hotels multiple times each and the Four Seasons is always a step ahead. Fresh flowers are everywhere, the valet and doorman are so happy to help and available. There is none of this “we are understaffed otherwise we’d provide the service we are promising,” I’ve found at some of the other hotels. The Four Seasons team is here to take care of you en force and ensure whatever they can do to help you succeed in your visit, you do succeed. Here for a trip with family? We know the magic places to create memories for a lifetime. Coming for a romantic getaway? They know and have the relationships to secure the reservations for the best restaurants and tours in the city. Coming for business? We know what you need and provide it before you ask.

The rooms are elegant and the oh so comfortable beds are best in class. Shower pressure excellent. Toiletries are ones I actually want to take home.

This is a place I truly look forward to returning again, and sharing it with my family. Thank you Four Seasons San Francisco!!

This lovely spot is a perfect oasis after exploring San Francisco. We always love the city, but having the privilege of coming back to the Four Seasons each afternoon was a highlight. The room are very functional and exceptionally comfortable and clean. The service was impeccable, as always. We especially enjoyed delicious cocktails at the bar; the bartender was friendly and super professional. Even with high profile guests staying there simultaneously, we felt very well cared for. Fantastic experience.

We were in San Francisco for a conference and decided to upgrade our accomodations to the Four Seasons, which is a short walk from where the meetings were held. It was a great decision as the hotel was a quiet respite while being in close proximity to all the city has to offer.

All of the staff members we interacted with were kind and informative. Vanessa from concierge helped arrange in-room massages that were some of the best we have ever received. She also had great recommendations for nearby restaurants and a nail salon.

The room was nicely appointed and housekeeping keeps it looking great. The provided toiletries are very luxurious. Room service was timely and very tasty. Our flight was very early in the morning and we were able to arrange ahead of time a to-go breakfast that was promptly delivered at 3:15 am and packaged conveniently.

We would definitely stay at this location again.

My husband and I had a superb stay at the Four Seasons in San Francisco. We booked through Chase Luxury Travel, which offered a number of benefits for doing so (e.g., a room upgrade if available, a $100 property credit, breakfast for two, and a welcome amenity). Before arriving, I reached out to the hotel to request a room on a higher floor with a nice view, and the hotel confirmed receipt of my request. When I arrived, David did an excellent job handling check-in. He reviewed and explained our benefits through Chase, and he informed us that we had been given a room on the highest floor—the 17th—with a nice view (but no upgrade because of a lack of availability, which I totally understood because it was the holiday season). Our room was beautiful and did indeed have a beautiful view of Yerba Buena Gardens and the SF skyline. The following morning, I had a great workout at the attached Equinox Sports Club—a main reason I picked this hotel—and then a wonderful breakfast at MKT (the doughnuts and breakfast pastry basket were excellent). Annie did a wonderful job handling our very efficient checkout. I would love to stay at this hotel again; my only regret was our stay was too short!

First business trip in 2 years. 3 weeks on the road. I chose the Four Seasons specifically because they have fast laundry service and supposedly go the extra mile. I find out now that they don’t do laundry on Sunday “because of covid 19” and zero effort on the part of anyone to solve the problem aside from the concierge who tried to find a coin operated laundry mat. With no superior service offering there is no point in paying a premium price. A shame as this was a good operation once.

I recently stayed at Four Seasons San Francisco, and as always, it was impeccable from check in with Jose, who took lovely care of me, to Aundrea, Catherine and Henry from in room dining that are super stars! The service is flawless. Everyone is kind and very efficient. The Four Seasons app is super easy to use and gives guests everything they might need!

My room, 1416, was a beautiful large Premier room with a lovely super comfortable bed, a beautiful view of SOMA and the bay, and was super quiet. Very serene way up on the 14th floor, I absolutely love the rooms here, also recently refreshed with a modern sleek look.

Their in room dining food amazing, the location is perfect to walk all over the Downtown sf area, and the attention to detail throughout is amazing. Housekeeping is meticulous, your cords will be tied, glasses are left resting on a four seasons branded cloth wipe, and everything was spotless.

Thank you so much for always looking after me! This hotel is truly an icon in the city and to be honest I can’t think of a better hotel to stay at during your trip to San Francisco. I feel it’s #1 and will always exceed expectations. They do a lovely job all around!

Looking forward to returning soon!

Best,
Patrick
