The Four Seasons is a great hotel to stay at in the San Francisco area. It's in a great location--close to a lot of restaurants and landmarks and has easy access to public transportation. It's also a great place for business meetings and conferences. My room had a great view of the city. It was of decent size and loved...

I appreciate your feedback about your stay with us. From the hotel, what restaurants and landmarks did you walk to? San Francisco is a great walking city (despite the hills) and our public transportation helps, especially those cable cars. I'm happy to hear that room service was quick and that you enjoyed the food. We appreciate that our guests love...

I stayed here for a conference. The rooms are quiet, well appointed, and luxurious. Room service is efficient and delicious. Nice lobby and exceptional service. The only thing to note is that they aren't great at identifying return visitors but it really doesn't impact anything other than an initial greeting of, "welcome back".

Thank you for your kind comments about our hotel service, staff, lobby and room service. I hope you enjoyed your conference as well! We aim to have a personal welcome for our return visitors, and I apologize this was not the case for you. I hope to welcome you back in person next time. When you make your reservation, please...

Stayed for 4 nights for business. Perfect location next to the shopping district. A short stroll to the piers and the Storey Bridge, close to the cable car to get to Fisherman's wharf and 5 mins to Chinatown. Everything is close by. The hotel itself is very comfortable. Great beds, showers and amenities in the rooms and the staff could...

Thank you for your kind words about how helpful our staff was in making your stay more enjoyable. I will be sure to share it with the team. This was my experience at The Four Seasons in San Francisco. I've stayed at several of their other hotels, and I expected the same luxury experience that I've come to expect from them but that wasn't the case here. The rooms have had some cosmetic upgrades, but they're badly in need of renovations. The tubs are very short -- there's...

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience with us. As much as we were glad to hear that you've stayed with several of our sister hotels, I was dismayed to hear that your stay with us fell short of your expectations. I apologize that the decor and design of lobby, guest rooms and tubs didn't meet...

The hotel and services are okay but below the 4 Seasons standard. The lobby is nondescript and unexciting while the room is definitely drab. The location is convenient but right outside the hotel there are many homeless people and beggars at night, making the overseas visitors feel uncomfortable and even unsafe.

Thank you for this feedback about our lobby and room decor. We're constantly monitoring both and appreciate your candor as we look into renovation plans for the future. We, and many of our guests, enjoy our central location in downtown San Francisco. And like most cosmopolitan cities San Francisco is home to a diverse group of people and can be...

I stay at Four Seasons Hotels whenever its an option. This property is tired and not representative from what i have come to expect from this company. I also was extremely disappointed as the property does not have its own spa but instead utilizes the spa at the Equinox Club. I booked two appointments for a facial and massage and...

I deeply apologize for your recent experience at the hotel. We have been in contact with Equinox and our concierge to make sure we are communicating effectively with our guests about the Spa at Equinox in our building and their second location. I understand that our director of rooms, Chiko, has been in touch with your family prior to leaving...

I had a great experience at this hotel. Yes, it's expensive, but it's the Four Seasons. The food is excellent, exceptional and the service and personal attention is just what you'd expect from this hotel. I don't recommend the bar in the evenings, which is crowded, noisy and of course very pricey, although it's fine if you like the "hipster"...

Thank you for sharing your positive experience at the hotel with us. Executive Chef Alex and his team at MKT have been doing great things and I'm glad you had a great meal and service. MKT Bar can get lively during the evenings, and our concierge is happy to suggest places that would be more to your liking. I hope...

Incredibly clean, as expected. Hotel staff plenty friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Area around the hotel has plenty of shopping, food and entertainment. You can also grab public transportation right outside of the hote and if you want to ride a bike, just take a left as you head out, they're right in front of the coffee...

For the price, I'd expect much better facility and services. It is extremely spartan, very clean I will give credit for that. The bar is horrible and overpriced. Consieour was not very helpful. The room is very very old fashioned. I would not pay the price for that ever again.

They remember your name, service is exceptional, food and beverage great. My only complaint, having stayed at this property since it opened is that when they remodeled the public areas, the "vibe" changed dramatically - from a very elegant, upscale experience, to a young, hip environment. While change is always good (and clearly was a wise business decision), I did...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
