I stayed for 4 nights at this inn. It is similar to a hostel, but much nicer. You get your own room with a sink, shower and bathrooms are shared on the floor. I never had to wait for a shower or a bathroom to use. By the way, there is no sink or soap in bathrooms, but they do...

The best thing of this hotel is definitely the location. It is located in a safe area, very close to the bus station which takes you to Union Square (you can also walk - 15 min max, but it's not advisable, because it is dangerous). There are several restaurants and bars at just 3 minutes from the hotel and 2...

I stayed here with my bf on his first visit to SF- we were on a budget and were looking for a step up from shared hostel rooms and a step down from pricey hotels. This place was perfect. You do have to share a bathroom with other gusts- there is a toilet and a shower (in different room) on...

We stayed here for 4 nights in February and had a very pleasant experience. Continental breakfast was the same every day but well stocked with fruits, greek yogurt, granola, etc. Plus breakfast started early at 7am so we could eat and start exploring early. There was one shower on our floor and 2 separate toilets- we woke up early every...

My husband and I stayed at Hayes Valley Inn while visiting my nephew who lives in Hayes Valley. After a few days of walking around San Francisco, I am convinced Hayes Valley is the most pleasant neighborhood in the city: convenient to everything else on foot, BART, bus, or highway; well-supplied with coffee shops, restaurants, parks, and markets; quiet, sunny,...

Great value! very European style B&B. The room is small but very lovely, and the shared bathroom and restroom are clean. The breakfast is continental and full of choices. Location is great, too, just two blocks from City Hall and a 20 mins bus to fishman wharf. Compared to hostels and famous four star hotels, this inn is absolutely a...

Stayed at the Hayes Valley in Sept 2012 and it was a great location for a budget stay in San Fran. The room was spacious and the bed was huge and comfy. The breakfast was the best we got in a 2 week stay in California with plenty fruit , cereal and breads on offer. It is also a great...

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Hayes Valley Inn in Oct 2012. I made the reservation directly with the hotel and ended up making 3 changes to my reservation. They were always friendly and helpful; and they never acted put out by my changes. The Inn is located in an area with good restaurants and interesting shops...

Recently travelled to San Fran with friends, and were looking for affordable accommodation north of Market St. - Hayes Valley Inn definitely fits the bill! Just a couple blocks away from City Hall, HVInn is surrounded by wonderful restaurants and is only moments away from major bus routes, and a short walk from the F-line streetcar (which gets you to...

Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway.
