This is a European style b & b in every sense. Our room was small but clean and well appointed. It has a sink in it. The shower and toilets are shared. We did not have any trouble with this as we are very early risers but when we came back to our room from breakfast there was a couple...

Loved the service, breakfast and the European style hotel. They were very accomdating. Flew in and took metro to subway stop and walked a couple blocks and I was there. Make sure to download the bus transit application for your smart phone. This really made it easy to see when the next bus was coming, bonus it includes use of...

For the prices of San Francisco this was one of the cheapest at the time we booked, so for the price I cannot knock it really. The area is really nice a quite a few bars and restaurants close by, we caught the bart train from airport and walked few blocks to hotel so was quite easy! room was small...

Love this place... Stayed twice in past year - once with husband and once with granddaughter... Location is awesome - close to BART and other public transportation - walking distance to many neighborhoods. Very clean, never a wait to use shared bathrooms, great breakfast room with view of neighborhood, extensive continental breakfast options and cookies in the afternoon (which my...

Hayes Valley Inn is centrally located in a great area which is bohemian and known for its unique blend of restaurants and one-off boutiques, wine shops and tree lined residential streets. The hotel is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Our room was compact but perfectly adequate. Sharing bath and loo facilities in the corridor was novel but no trouble. Added to...

Its clean but noisy and the staff are very busy at all times which meant our room wasn’t available when we checked in and we had to negotiate with them to NOT have to take a downgrade in room. Bit of a joke really. BEDBUGS: I went to bed on Sunday night and woke up literally covered in insect bites....

We had a double room (i.e. double bed), while the rest of our group shared a quad room (2 bunk beds = 4 twins). The rooms were clean, as were the shared bathrooms. The breakfast (included in the price) offered a number of tasty options. There was also a computer and printer available (free). The staff were friendly and helpful....

Stayed two nights, really great area for cars and restaurants and easy transport to the waterfront. Staff were really friendly, lovely breakfast and cute rooms. My one reservation was that our second night was really noisy, whether from other guests or people coming out of bars on a Saturday night, so if you're a light sleeper like me you might...

We stay here often - staff always friendly and helpful and new person Craig at the front desk so solicitous and willing to help in any way to make the stay enjoyable. (Craig is indicative of all the caring staff at Hayes Valley.) Love the sunny and pleasant breakfast room with all sorts of good foods. Good way to begin...
