I had a good stay at Sonder Found. It is well designed, secure, and the entrance code was easy to use. The room was comfortable and clean, and the communal work space was great to get productive work done. The laundry room is a big plus. The downtown/Union Square location is central to everything, although the neighborhood can get noisy. Each room has a white noise machine and double black out blinds which helps. Will stay at Sonder Found again.

My daughter & I enjoyed a week sightseeing in San Francisco. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon & were able to easily drop off our luggage in the storage locker area. After exploring the neighbourhood we checked into our room. Our bunkbeds & duvet were so comfortable each night when we slept. We also appreciated the soaps available in the shower & near the sink. The digital keypad to enter the building & our room made us feel safe & secure during our stay. This location was a short walk to Union Square across from the Cheesecake Factory & near the Powell Cable Cars. It is very accessible to local transit - Muni streetcars, buses or the BART - which can be taken to Fisherman's Wharf & Pier 39 to visit local attractions. We would highly recommend staying at FOUND Union Square.

Slightly expensive for what we got - we had a bunk bed room with a small window so it was a bit too dark. Also the AC had broken in the whole building so it was constantly boiling. But the hotel provided us with a large fan so this helped. Also the beds were super comfy.
Decor in the room and reception was nice, and I cannot recommend the location more. Perfectly central for all public transport. Some reviews said lots of homeless - this is an issue everywhere in the city, just be careful and try not to go anywhere dark alone (stick to main roads).
The hotel has a receptionist most of the time (not 24 hours) and they were helpful, they gave us lots of tips for the tourist things we wanted to do. It’s also good that the doors have codes instead of keys as you don’t have to remember your key.
Laundry was $1.50 per wash and per dry. The hotel has a communal lounge which was a nice touch.
I would stay there again purely because it was pretty and had a good location.

What I most disliked was the contactless policy for addressing hotel guest questions and needs. When I wanted to do laundry I asked if the two staff at the front desk had quarters. The one-word answer was “No”. I then downloaded the app for that, which requires one to pay a $25 minimum, even if the user might never need to use the same machines again. When the TV wasn’t working at 1:00AM, the two staff at the front desk referred me to the phone number. I called the “24/7” number, and the person who answered reached out to the people who were supposed to be able to manage guest problems, but as he apologetically told me, he wasn’t able to find anyone online but would keep trying. He never did find someone. My room was considerably cooler than the hallways. Only the fan was operating and nothing came out of the bathroom vent. I did not ask anyone to help with this. I didn’t want to be referred to the phone number and I also thought that if the heat was being controlled remotely I might wind up with a room that was too hot, and have to call about THAT if there was even someone available to address the problem. So I slept in my coat and shivered through my showers. Hotel-owners are using a lot of strategies to make up money lost earlier in the pandemic. Presenting a lack of in-person service as a safety measure is complete baloney, also rather puzzling since you’re paying people to be there, but requiring absolutely nothing of them?

The room and bathroom were clean when we arrived. The bed was comfortable and big enough for two people to sleep well. The location is in the heart of the Union Square so you can walk around downtown or go to nearby bus stops.

Hi we stayed here as a family of four for a few days. The plus points are the location close to union square all the top shops. The bus tour, the start of the cable car, the cityscape st the Hilton. The car park is just up the street two blocks and is reasonable. There is free coffee a common area for working or socialising. There are washing machines and driers. You need about $4 in quarters to do a cycle and the drier does not need to be that long as your clothes are all ready dry. The major downside is the room size, they are cramped for four people with the bags, for two it may be better. The Wi-Fi is very good. This is worth staying at but beware of the limitations.

Spent 5 nights here in Room 501 and it was great value for money for what I paid compared to other places. Room was surprisingly spacious I was worried as we had 4 cases from skiing but there was plenty of room for them. Upon check in I was told this room had one of the largest bathrooms too and it was spacious. Fresh towels and hairdryer provided you. Beds were comfy with spotlessly clean bedding. The communal kitchen area wax great for complimentary coffees and the laundry a gif send as we had been skiing and could sort our stuff. My only minor complaint is the bath and sink didn’t drain very well but this didn’t effect anything . Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again for sure!!!!

The best place that I ever choose. My family are pleased to be there some days. The location is the best to explore the city, you have many options to eat (there are restaurants from many countries around). Surely we will come here the next time we come back to SF.

The pictures look nice, but in reality, the room was very dingy and had that old building smell. The best part was the drops of BLOOD on the bathroom room when we first checked into our room. Went down to the front desk to ask for another room since this one obviously wasn’t clean. No other rooms available. No cleaning service available. She was at least nice enough to come up and clean it herself. But wow. A biohazard? I will say, the TV set up was modern and we were able to watch Hulu/Netflix/etc, but we will never stay in another sonder and I would not suggest this one

My son and I really enjoyed our stay at Sonder. It was 3 minute walk to Bart and cable car as well as bustling part of Union Square. We loved the boutique hotel vibe, as well as the 2nd floor coffee/hang out lounge. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room stayed extremely dark which added to a fantastic nights rest. Some homeless on the street which was unsettling at times, but the secure hotel entry always felt safe. Would definitely stay again.
