Very impressed with this Hostel. Location is top class & very easy to get to from the airport. The rooms are a good size & spotlessly clean. I slept in a double which was very comfortable. Gena who checked me in was very helpful & friendly. Great vibe here! Will definitely be staying here again.

I was only staying one night - and meeting a mate who had been staying there for a few nights. Check-in was efficient, and the reception staff lovely. The facility has everything you'd expect from a HI property, and the range of organised activities must have numbered amongst the greatest I'd ever seen at like establishments. Made me want to...

The location of this hostel is perfect, round the corner from Union Square! The hostel isn't the best, but not the worst either. We had a private double room and bathroom, which was slightly shabby and not the cleanest. However it was a great base to explore San Francisco. We loved visiting Fishermans Warf Pier and Pier 39. Unfortunately we...

As always, HI has another good property. Only downside was the noise but when you are downtown that is hard to avoid. Recommended for travellers on a budget. Close to decent food at all hours of night and both MUNI and BART. Walkable distance to the historiccable car, safe neighborhood, decent security, dont need to worry about personal safety, few drunken...

Spent a few nights here with a friend to explore SF and we both enjoyed the location a lot. We've never stayed at a HI Hostel and didn't really know what to expect, but we were both pleased and any doubts about staying at a hostel for me was put at ease. I felt very safe the whole time I...

Spent 4 nights here in a private double room with shared bathroom. From seeing photos and getting a glance of the other double rooms I don't think we faired too well. The room was very small and we had a bunk bed with a double bottom bunk, which wasn't quite what I'd been expecting as photos suggested otherwise. The room...

Stayed at this hostel for 4 nights solo and had a great experience. Stayed in an eight person mixed dorm with it's own bathroom attached. The room was very nice and the beds are relatively new where each has its own light, socket and USB chargers which is especially handy. The location of the hostel is great, just of union...

I stayed here with friends for 3 nights. Very easy to find, and right next door to Union Square. Clean, comfy, basic beds. Shared showers and toilets, again basic. Pretty much what you'd expect from a hostel. The staff were terrific, very friendly, willing to answer any questions and make recommendations. Good, basic accomodation in a great location.

I stayed for 4 nights at this cute hostel. For the 1st night, I stayed in a six-bed mixed room, whose window faced out to a parking lot which was noisy through the night. And for the left 3 nights I changed to a 4-bed female room and it was reeally a wonderful room and much quieter .So I'd recommend requesting...

Had a great stay in this hostel! We stayed in a six bed dorm that had its own bathroom. The only fault I could give them was that over our nine night stay the bathroom started to look like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The kitchen was fantastic - it was huge! There was multiple stoves so there...
