Located in the heart of San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf, Argonaut Hotel exudes the true essence of a boutique hotel. With a name like the Argonaut, it's impossible not to speak of this hotel in grand, almost legendary terms. Inspired by the Greek legend and Gold Rush-era adventurers, it's one of those rare places in San Francisco that truly merits a term like iconic. Located in the historic Haslett Warehouse, the Argonaut's home is a grand building built in 1907 of exposed brick, Douglas Fir beams and so much seaside character; you feel as though you can almost reach out and touch the colorful Barbary Coast past here.

Simply THE BEST hotel experience in San Francisco! Staff is GREAT! Located halfway between Buena Vista (where Irish Coffees were invented - also great food) and SCOMA’s restaurant (SF Classic right on SF Bay with view of Golden Gate Bridge) & Hyde St Cablecar stops right across the street! Blue Mermaid restaurant and the separate unique wine bar on premises are terrific! Been bringing family, friends ans business groups here since it opened in 2003! Simply a GREAT experience!!

Hotel's Favourite
Lovely hotel, such a great location and so easy to get to pier 39 or catch a tram into town. Loved our room which looked out over to the Golden Gate Bridge and was very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great experience to have on our first part of mine and my wife’s honeymoon. Would definitely recommend staying here.

💓🌈🐶 Pawzitive Reviews from My pups! 🐾What a wonderful place! Welcoming, Cozy and Beautiful History. Our Furry Friends got so much TLC and loving from staff members they new the pups names by the first day! My hubby said the internet allowed him to finish meetings and had no problems. My Birthday Buddy at her 29th 39th birthday was able to walk to all the places and I at my 10th 39th birthday with some spine issues, could get to all the tourist spots we just had to experience. Trolley 🚎 to Ferry ⛴️, Alcatraz to Bunkers… it was fantastic to visit all the thing! Our pups 🐶 loved the beaches! The King Tides brought lots of sticks for them to chase! #theargonauthotel #Pawzitive #RolloRolls

Hi there, Thank you so much for the amazing feedback! We truly love our four legged guests and I have two at home so taking care of all our guests is personal for me. It looks like you all took advantage of our location too, a short walk to the Alcatraz ferry and a quick walk the other way to Ft Mason which is the perfect place for pets to enjoy. Thanks again and I hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you all back to the Argonaut in the near future! Tony Roumph Area Managing Directo

Wonderful location and stellar staff at this beautiful hotel. We enjoyed the clean rooms, wonderful views from the room and close location to many of our favorite spots in town. The restaurant/ bar was nice and the staff was awesome. We were allowed an early check in without hassle and were offered a late check out. The room was very clean and cozy. We were there during the winter and the heat worked well. Nice variety of options in the mini bar and snack options as well. We will definitely come back to this great hotel!

Hi Sheryn, Thanks for coming to visit us and Fisherman's Wharf is definitely a more relaxing (and safer) spot to be in than downtown, which is still just a short Cable Car away. I am happy to see our team showed our hospitality and I hope the rest of your travels Stateside were just as enjoyable. Tony Roumph Area Managing Director

On a quiet stretch of Fisherman's Wharf in the old Cannery. Friendly service, fun to walk around, inviting lobby, nice breakfast at the Blue Mermaid. Everything San Francisco: cable cars, Ghirardelli, Alcatraz, crab boats, seagulls, fog horns, Irish coffee at the Buena Vista cafe.

Hi Raphael, Thank you for the 5 star review and I am pleased to see you enjoyed our corner of Fisherman's Wharf. Its definitely a nice respite for some of the overly tourist spots closer to Pier 39 and our mix of locals approved restaurants and boutiques make for an upscale SF stay. Thanks again and I hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the Argonaut in the near future. Tony Roumph Area Managing Director

Noisy air con even when switched off, much louder when on so didn't use it. Booking was made by travel agent for us and we assumed paid in full in advance. Did not appreciate getting hit with a $35 per night amenities charge which from what we used was just a couple of tea bags per day. Otherwise a good location.

Hi there, Thank you for the feedback and I am sorry for the issues with your air conditioning, I hope we were given the chance to address the issue while you were staying with us. While I cannot speak to what your travel agent informed you of, I can assure you all taxes and fees are included in the total price you see prior to making a reservations across all sites, so I am not sure why they would not have let you know what was owed. I appreciate you staying with us at the Argonaut and I hope the rest of your travels Stateside were well spent. Tony Roumph Area Managing Director

Very easy to get to, visiting from north of the bridge. We appreciated the ease and safety of the (expensive) valet parking. The rooms were very comfortable, and the staff was helpful. We combined our stay here with a weekend in Monterey, comparing the two cannery districts. Quite fun!

Love the historic nautical theme… The hotel has a beautiful cozy lobby and great bar/restaurant. It is located in a great area. The famous Cannery and Ghirardelli Square are steps away and the Buena Vista, a locals favorite bar, where the Irish Coffee was invented will keep you coming back!!
