Simply THE BEST hotel experience in San Francisco! Staff is GREAT! Located halfway between Buena Vista (where Irish Coffees were invented - also great food) and SCOMA’s restaurant (SF Classic right on SF Bay with view of Golden Gate Bridge) & Hyde St Cablecar stops right across the street! Blue Mermaid restaurant and the separate unique wine bar on premises are terrific! Been bringing family, friends ans business groups here since it opened in 2003! Simply a GREAT experience!!

Lovely hotel, such a great location and so easy to get to pier 39 or catch a tram into town. Loved our room which looked out over to the Golden Gate Bridge and was very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great experience to have on our first part of mine and my wife’s honeymoon. Would definitely recommend staying here.

💓🌈🐶 Pawzitive Reviews from My pups! 🐾What a wonderful place! Welcoming, Cozy and Beautiful History. Our Furry Friends got so much TLC and loving from staff members they new the pups names by the first day! My hubby said the internet allowed him to finish meetings and had no problems. My Birthday Buddy at her 29th 39th birthday was able to walk to all the places and I at my 10th 39th birthday with some spine issues, could get to all the tourist spots we just had to experience. Trolley 🚎 to Ferry ⛴️, Alcatraz to Bunkers… it was fantastic to visit all the thing! Our pups 🐶 loved the beaches! Wonderful location and stellar staff at this beautiful hotel. We enjoyed the clean rooms, wonderful views from the room and close location to many of our favorite spots in town. The restaurant/ bar was nice and the staff was awesome. We were allowed an early check in without hassle and were offered a late check out. The room was very clean and cozy. We were there during the winter and the heat worked well. Nice variety of options in the mini bar and snack options as well. We will definitely come back to this great hotel!

We chose it for it's location, our 2nd time visiting San Francisco and this time we didn't want to be downturn and this hotel was perfect, a little quirky but so warm and welcoming, comfortable and everything just worked. Would recommend

On a quiet stretch of Fisherman's Wharf in the old Cannery. Friendly service, fun to walk around, inviting lobby, nice breakfast at the Blue Mermaid. Everything San Francisco: cable cars, Ghirardelli, Alcatraz, crab boats, seagulls, fog horns, Irish coffee at the Buena Vista cafe.

Noisy air con even when switched off, much louder when on so didn't use it. Booking was made by travel agent for us and we assumed paid in full in advance. Did not appreciate getting hit with a $35 per night amenities charge which from what we used was just a couple of tea bags per day. Otherwise a good location.

Very easy to get to, visiting from north of the bridge. We appreciated the ease and safety of the (expensive) valet parking. The rooms were very comfortable, and the staff was helpful. We combined our stay here with a weekend in Monterey, comparing the two cannery districts. Quite fun!

Love the historic nautical theme… The hotel has a beautiful cozy lobby and great bar/restaurant. It is located in a great area. The famous Cannery and Ghirardelli Square are steps away and the Buena Vista, a locals favorite bar, where the Irish Coffee was invented will keep you coming back!!
