We visited San Francisco on quite a few occasions and have explored every part of the city. We have tried hotels in other quarters before but nothing beats this hotel's location. Fisherman's Wharf is a touristy place, but I would say one of the very seldom ones worth visiting! The hotel is conveniently located between Ghirardhelli's Square and the Pier...

Made a reservation on trip advisory without any prior information . We usually use Marriotts and JW Marriott but we can say with confidence that this place met all our usual expectations with the additional kick of the building authentic feeling which was a cannery in the early 1900 and it stil carries its history with elegance and grace. Not...

This is a lovely hotel located right in the heart of Fishermans Wharf and waltzing distance to some great restaurants and the Piers. Walk to Lombard street or catch the tram right around the corner. The rooms are spacious and thand beds really comfy. The staff leave you alone but happy to help when you need something- the naval decor...

Service was great, from the front doorman, valet, front desk and housekeepers. The room was comfortable, but nothing fancy. The nautical theme was not our architectural preference, but not distracting. Great location since it was walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. The overnight valet parking is pricey but considering that its located in the Fisherman's Wharf area, it...

There probably is not a more perfectly located place in San Francisco for those who want to experience the city as a first timer. Over the years, I've stayed in the city many times but have avoided Fishermen's Wharf because of the prices and noise. Although the Argonaut is far from a budget hotel, the proximity of the hotel more...

suziem, Thank you so much for your great review. Our building actually IS a 100+ year old cannery! Inspired by Gold Rush-era adventurers, it's one of those rare places in San Francisco that truly merits a term like iconic. Located in the historic Haslett Warehouse, the Argonaut's home is a grand brick building from 1907 featuring exposed brick, Douglas Fir...

Nice hotel, perfect location, friendly staff. Breakfast is in attached restaurant and could be better managed. Price/quality rate slightly overrated (too expensive). Meeting room infrastructure is acceptable, but noisy airco system.

The Argonaut is a really good hotel with a great location. Next to Fisherman's Wharf and many good restaurants. Staff are really great and very helpful if you need something. Rooms don't have a microwave, but other than that it is a really good place to stay.

Comfortable surroundings in a perfect location for exploring the city and seeing the excitement the Wharf has to offer. Let's be honest...I'm picky. I stay in about 24 hotels a year. I like a hotel with GREAT beds, safe surroundings, and QUIET sleeping environment. Plus, I don't like to pay $400 a night! The hits: Nice room with reasonable space...

Love, love, love this property -- very convenient to San Francisco highlights / activities, food, shopping, etc. It's great that the property has so much history, and in saving it, the build-outs were done with respect. I can still imagine the place as a fishery packing place, with the "old salt" of San Francisco's waterfront -- and it's such a...
