We ended our vacation of central/northern California with a three night stay at the Argonaut. It was wonderful! I had booked a discounted rate through TripAdvisor. I compared this rate with the AAA rate and went with the lesser. We had a deluxe 2 queen room for $319/night. We did not pay for a view, but we were given a...

The hotel is in a great location. We staid there for 3 days with our 4-y-o son and there is plenty to do for the whole family in this touristy area. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our mattresses were uncomfortable (my wife often complains about beds in hotels, but this one even made me complain!). I would have given...

Michele312, Thank you for your feedback, I'm very sorry to hear you felt misled by the TripAdvisor promotion that provides a 10% discount on the booking. I can assure you that reduction was applied to your booking, and you were not over-charged. The rate you see on the "pop-up" voucher is indeed an example, but to your point, if you...

This was a second stop on a trip to San Fran and it did not disappoint! Firstly the room was lovely, with very nice decor. The free wine in the lobby at 5:00 was absolutely perfect as our group meeting place to plan out a dinner adventure with our group of 13! The front desk staff were very accommodating, as...

We planned on a weeks stay at this wonderful hotel in possibly the best location in S.F. Some would argue that being on Fisherman's Wharf made it a long haul to other venues but due to the excellent location to bus and cable car routes, the travel time to Union Square, North Beach, the Embarcadero and Chinatown was insignificant. The...

In my suite right now with a bottle of champagne chilling on ice!The view of the bay and alacatraz is stunning!! Watching the sailboats even better!! This place is an ideal location for everything. We rented bikes yesterday right down stairs and biked the golden gate. Bed is very comfy! Nice hot shower, an actual real jacuzzi bath as well!...

On a recent trip to the bay area, I had the pleasure of staying at this amazing hotel. The staff are extremely accomodating, the marina/ fisherman's wharf location is terrific and convenient, and the rooms are very well appointed. I particularly enjoyed walking across the street to the park and watching the swimmers in the bay with Alcatraz and many...

This hotel is fantastic and the only negative points to call them that way would be the cost of parking and the location, but, like everything in life, depends for who. I chose this hotel knowing it is located in Fishermans Wharf which for many may be convenient and for many others not. You need to know where you want...

ViajeroSecret, Thank you for the kind words, "just want we wanted," wow! That's truly awesome to hear. You are right, we are centrally located to what many visitors come to see San Francisco for, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and many other sights. I understand parking can seem expensive for someone from out of town, however, our parking is very...

We stayed here for a week in September 2012. We chose it for it's location and on the back of TripAdvisor reviews. For us the location was perfect and the service friendly and professional. We loved the free wine tasting around the fire in the lobby in the evenings (although we didn't make it every night). A great experience and...

SouthPerthAustralia, As a frequent traveler myself, I could not agree with you more, it's about the service! I'm happy to hear the team was able to take such good care of you during your visit. We hope to see you again soon, we'll have a glass of wine waiting from 5-6 as always. Cheers!
