The Agonaut Hotel situated at Fishermans Wharf, San Francisco is well worth a visit. The situation is perfect for a walk along the Prom, visiting pier 39, with all its quirky old arcade machines etc..Booking a trip to Alcatraz ,Salsalito, Mear Woods etc..The accomodation, staff & service were excellent, the only downside was the" public restaurant," which was very busy at...

we visited san francisco from july 19-22 and stayed at the argonaut. we stayed in a king suite on the second floor. the lobby was lots of fun with the deck chairs for people watching and nightly wine reception. we tried the blue mermaid restaurant where the special was great. our room was spacious and decorated with a wonderful nautical...

This was the most amazing hotel to stay in. Our room was perfect, a king suite with a bay view. The room was huge, a sitting area with a couch, chair, dining table, 4 chairs and a huge TV. In the bed room a king bed, another huge TV. The bathroom was awesome, a huge separate jacuzzi tub with a...

collectingcoke, Wow! Thank you for the wonderful feedback, I am happy to hear you had such a great stay. Our King Suites with a Bay View certainly raise the bar, but for a 19th Anniversary, I too am glad you pampered yourself, and splurged a bit. I don't disagree with you one bit, I still think getting a view of...

I spent the night here with my sister for a quick getaway to SF and it was wonderful! First, we got a great rate (under $200 after taxes) with my military discount. Not sure if I would have felt the value was there had I paid the normal rate of close to $400/night. We checked in early- landed at SFO...

very convenient location, 1 min walk to Hyde-Powell line and 4 min walk to F line, which means easy access to all hot tourist spots. And it's just 7-8 min walk to pier 39. the decoration of hotel is themed around 'sea', with stuff like sailing boats at the lobby and small shells on a sandy desk on the way...

This hotel is fabulous, we had the misfortune of staying one night in the Courtyard by Marriott until we could check into the Argonaut. We arrived at the hotel and from the word go it was a great experience, the staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you. We had a room with a bay view and...

Friendly and kind staff, perfect location, comfortable beds, clean room. Our room faced the shopping center courtyard and it was great. We left the window open at night and could hear the boats go by on the bay. Being so close to Fisherman's Wharf, we were able to see the wharf in the morning before the crowds. We plan to...

We travel in motorhome, however, in large cities we stay in Hotels. We have two dogs that travel with us, a toy poodle and a puggle. The Argonaut is a very friendly hotel to adults, children and pets alike. They just finished a major update of the facilities. The rooms are great and their wine social hour is a not...

Very attractive hotel with spacious and well-appointed rooms. We appreciated the friendly staff. Of course it is in a great location. Many rooms have no view but who wants to stay in the room for the view when San Francisco is calling? Our favorite SFO hotel.

When it comes to high end properties like this one, I tend to be more critical than in reviewing the lower end of the spectrum. Overall the service was outstanding. The only glitches related to the valet situation. One, there is so little curb space in front of the hotel that cars wind up double parked on a two lane,...
