This is a budget hotel near the Powell street station a straight run from the International airport. We booked on booking .com then saw these reviews which are misleading. The hotel is surrounded by homeless black people but they do not worry us. The hotel has large rooms, good heating, microwave, fridge and hot showers with separate bathroom. In 3...

Booked 4 days prepaid as on budget. Room dirty with hair on blanket. Did not sleep for 2 night as people yelling all night in front of window. Cannabis smell in front of the hotel and lots of homeless talking all night and shouting. We were scared to go in and out of the hotel. We asked to cancel further...

The Hotel is near to Market street and a couple of blocks from Union Square, but there's a lot of homeless drunk and probably stoned people around this area that is intimidating. The hotel is small, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was small and reasonably clean, but the walls are paper thin, which means you can hear...

the hotel is old and dirty and smells of urine. The room (our was a luxury room with private bathroom) is even dirtier, with plenty of hairs on the floor and in the towels. The neighborhood is unsafe, even if close to downtown and union square. There are a lot of homelesses and drunks at every hour and we felt...

I was with a group of five people who were travelling the west coast of the United States for a total of 6 weeks. We arrived into San Francisco in the evening and learned of the news that our Air BnB cancelled at short notice. We were therefore without accommodation and since it was late in the evening, our primary...

Well probaly the worse area in SF, who would guess it as the hotel is next to Market street and union squarre. Homeless, druggies junks on all aproaches to the hotel, street smell like a toilet. Room stated as a single not too bad and ok for two. Bathroom and shower clean. We were lucky to have window to the...

But seriously... Who wants to be a spectator of this when you have to sleep in the direct surrounding? The area is, like others described it, very filthy. Drug dealers, prostitutes, homeless and smelly drunk people or all this combined in one or the other person are right in front of your doorstep. We didnt have any problems with them....

I arrived with my friend last week about 11pm and from the taxi we realized it was the worst decision we made. There where homeless everywhere, 2 guys smoking crack in the front door, we waited 5 minutes for them to leave to go into the hotel. There are stairs to go up to the front desk, that smell REALLY...

TERRIBLE PLACE with mean homeless people doing drugs on doorstep that screamed at us to get lost.... Had to literally push door open past them to get in. Staff speak poor English and they would not refund money so we could stay somewhere safer where we could actually get into a hotel without confrontation. WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN....

The room was VERY small, but we had a private bathroom. The neighborhood is not for delicate people - too many junkies and lunatics on the street, but they do not disturb you very much. The hotel is very close to everything you need - public transportation, supermarkets, shops, etc.
