Hotel Vitale hits another visit out of the park. We found this hotel four years ago and have made it a regular desintation ever since. We stayed overnight for our anniversary and walked in to find rose petals and champagne with a lovely card. Little touches and personalisation make a Hotel Vitale our SF hotel of choice.

Hotel Vitale is down by the Embarcadero, ideal for running and checking out the Ferry Building. Hotel is small with minimal lobby but a good restaurant/bar and an upstairs outdoor garden. Highly recommend if you like this part of SF.

Hotel Vitale is the only luxury hotel, which is located on the Embarcadero close to the financial center. It is an excellent location for both holiday and business traveller, within walking distance of most of the famous sights in San Francisco. Rooms are nice with good bathrooms. There is a small spa and a (very) small fitness facility. A nice...

We booked this hotel on recommendation to celebrate a special birthday. We stayed for 8 nights. On arrival the room we were allocated did not meet the description and after a long journey we had to do much swapping around. However, we got there. The hotel allocated us a room on the 4th floor at the front. And overall we...

I love this hotel because of it's location across from the Ferry Building and views of the SF Bay. The restaurant, Americano is very good. The roof top has beautiful views. The staff of the hotel are all excellent.

Great weekend away with family. Kids loved the upper patio with views of bay/bridge. Location is amazing. Across street from Ferry building and blocks away from Exploratorium. One of the few hotels in San Francisco with queen/queen set up. Highly recommend.

This is a nice property with an excellent view of the bay bridge lights at night. It was perhaps the quietest room I have ever stayed in. Other than occasional traffic noise from the street the room was so quiet it was like sleeping in a tomb.

Great place to spend your staycation and feel like you are hundreds of miles away from home. Spent the night with a few girlfriends and enjoyed dinner just walking distance away. Came back to great atmosphere in the hotel bar. Woke up early and had a fabulous breakfast followed by a walk along the waterfront and shopping at the Farmers...

This place is awesome! The staff were on it and very friendly. They all make you feel at home and always take care of you. Danielle was very nice with the check-in process and gave us a tour of the rooms. Kristina was great as well and made my brothers and I were taken cared of throughout our stay. Everything...

Not worth $480/night with broken shower that flooded bathroom, blinds that wouldn't close (lucky I had binder clips) broken phone and TV, dirty sheets on uncomfortable bed and staff that barely cares.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
