Worst ‘5 Star’ hotel experience we’ve ever had. We stayed during the Marriott strikes and were shocked that the hotel was happy to charge us full rates while only providing half the normal services. No room service, limited menu in the lounge and limited housekeeping...More
The St. Regis San Francisco did not disappoint. From the moment I checked into the hotel to the moment I checked-out, I was well looked after and attended to. Greeted by name, check in was efficient, butler showed me to my room which was bright,...More
Beautiful hotel with a great SF location. Stayed only one night for business. Convenient to public transportation and the best shopping and dining in SF.
Service was very friendly and thorough. My room was gorgeous and immaculately clean, however the bed was hard as a...More
What a treat— staff impeccable, rooms artfully decorated, close to union square, easy to get in and out of. Must say I’m on my st Regis quest to try a Bloody Mary at each location and this one by far beats the my aspen experience...More
I wish I could go to my customers and tell them I was going to only be able provide half the services they expect and half the services that I tell them they'll get and still charge them full fee. I'd be quickly out of...More

South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized
streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.

It was opened in 2005. It is to soon undergo a renovation of rooms/suites and public spaces starting in winter 2018.
It never was a W hotel. It opened as a St Regis. The W San Francisco is 2 blocks south.
