A comfortable bed and basin (bathroom facilities are shared), all very clean, and a secure, central, and inexpensive location. It was great to be able to leave my suitcase for a few hours after checking out, and staff was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

All you need when doing business on a budget, very close to Market Str., wifi working, decent and clean room, helpful and friendly staff. I would like to suggest people that you get what you pay for. For these price on mission street, its the best choice.

Had a family medical emergency at SF general and this was a close and cost effective choice......so I thought. The stairs were like climbing everest, the main level smelled like shellfish super bad so im glad we were up a level, the parking lot isnt part of the hotel and theres no in/out privileges cause you pay for a slot... There was no elevator but thats not the big problem, the problem was that there were two HUGE sets of stairs as straight as a ladder, it was horrible. There's no bathroom nor shower in the room, it's shared by everyone in the hotel so you can imagine the state they're in. There's no air conditioner, the TV didn't work.... More

Apart from the friendly staff, this was by far the most horrendous place I have ever stayed, and believe me, I have stayed in some pretty terrible hostels/hotels in my time. The entire place smelt so bad that I couldn't even bare to be there. The bathroom was vile and so run down that I gagged upon entering. Spare yourselves... More

The room is not dirty but not clean since it's really old building, and we know the quality before we booked. If you just want to find a place to stay and with cheap price, this is one of the option. The downtown at night is dangerous for tourist, living in this place is safe with 24 hour front desk.

Happy we only stayed here for two nights I wouldn't want to be here longer. Yeah it's under $100 a night but shouldn't be more than $50. There's one toilet and shower per section shared! I had to walk around for a while to find more as they were busy majority of the time. Not the cleanest either..one shower didn't... More

Basically it was an expensive guest house. Neighborhood was fine, just like all the others in SF (this block is safe, the next one isn't. but its the Mission, what do you expect?). Easy parking next door. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. But it was a loud place and only one bathroom for the whole hallway. I probably... More

Stayed here so I could be really close to BART train (literally 5 blocks or so away) neighbourhood is definitely not safe to walk around alone at night. must cab to & from location. it's not the cleanest hotel but the rooms were clean. you have to share a bathroom with everyone else & it's pretty smelly & gross. but... Staying in Mission District

Neighbourhood Profile
Mission District
From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighbourhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners. Indulge as the locals do by heading to Mission Dolores Park, buy some ice cream, and savor one of the most diverse neighbourhoods in the country.
