We used our IHG free night to stay here and it was fine. The hotel and rooms are well appointed and new. I would have preferred to be closer to union square or Chinatown, but it was an easy walk with luggage from the Powell street BART station

Great hotel, service, staff and rooms all lovely. Spire status nicely acknowledged and the brand new beds were incredible. The surrounding couple of blocks are a bit rough, but very handy for market and the cable car etc. Club lounge staff were lovely - just a shame they can’t

Stayed here for 3 nights in Jan. We booked a queen size bed and requested high floor. They put us up on the 16th floor I think which was newly renovated and needed the key card to access the floor. The room was nice, clean. Beds were very comfortable. We had a nice unobstructed

Dear librandips, Yes, our 16th floor rooms is newly renovated. I am glad to hear that you found the room nice, clean and beds were comfortable. The hotel is actually working on improving the water pressure in the guest rooms. Being aware of your surrounding is always good to do in any city you are in. I hope that next time you visit San Francisco that you will still consider us if you're not able to find a place at Union Square. We would love to have you stay with us again. Best, James Telmo

Not happy with this business hotel stay. For $350 a night, I do expect the neighborhood to be a little nicer; you are on the edge of a rough part of town and still within walking distance to the Moscone center. Also, when I checked in, they told me my room wasn't ready but for

Dear chicago90Phoenix, Thank you for sharing your experience when you visited our hotel. I am disappointed to hear that your visit did not turn out as you expected. We are in the process of re-evaluating our up sell incentive with our front to not affect our early arriving guest. The city of San Francisco also has plans in place in improving neighborhood. I hope that next time you visit you will notice the changes and improvement. I recently returned from a stay at the InterContinental San Francisco for a conference at the Moscone Center. I checked in early at around 2p and my room was already available! It was a very short walk to the Moscone Center and is close to many restaurants if you want to walk

My husband spent almost two hours trying to connect and was on the phone the whole time with their IT Dept. it never worked for him. I was able to connect no problem. Bottom line, you may want to consider elsewhere.

I’d call the Intercontinental directly. They have both foam and down pillows on the bed, and i don’t know if the same company make both. But yes, it is a great sleep!
