The hotel is very nice, good location, great amenities, the rooms/bathrooms are very clean, the beds are to die for. Only thing i had a problem with was the girl at the front desk was very quiet and i could barely hear her and she wasnt very helpful.

Can get better for what you pay. The pillows are not comfortable, missed some cleaning in the sink area. Great food in the restaurant! Great service, fast and efficient! The valet was way expensive 52 plus tax!

Thank you very much for your review. I apologize you didn't like your pillows. In addition to the two types of pillow in your room, we also offer a menu of additional pillows we can provide with just a quick phone call. There's more about it in our guest rooms. It's called "Nod Hill" and is Stanford Court's guide to...

Very clean. WiFi quality was excellent (and it was free!). Solid place with quiet rooms and a great huge fitness center. The hotel restaurant and bar was great along with free coffee in the mornings. Also, small thing, but I love that they had multiple water bottle filling stations.

The Stanford Hotel was a great place to stay. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and we had all the amenities that we needed. All the staff were professional, helpful and very friendly. Our stay here added to the wonderful time we had in San Fransisco.

Let me get right to it. Hubby and I are doing the PCH drive and flew into San Francisco. * Cool looking hotel. Lobby decor is modern. I believe they allow dogs because there were two dog bowls on the inside of the entrance. Lobby was very clean and nice. * Desk staff greeted us right away. Very nice. -------downhill...

Thank you for your review and for being our guest. Check-in time is 4pm. When guests arrive at 10am like you did, we will always make every attempt to get them into a room ASAP at no additional charge. We did not have a clean and vacant room in the same type you purchased so we offered you an upgrade....

Perfect location worth every penny cable car stop just front of the hotel.. Rooms with city view preferred but being solo traveler it's not necessary.. Really nice concierge service.. Complimentary coffee and tea at bar..

A fairly worn place trying to update its image. For SF it's a good price and the rooms aren't very big, bathroom tiny. But most big city hotels share this feature. You have to have expectations that you're not in Suburbs when you look in a city like this. My only real complaint is there is no storage or drawer...

Due to a travel issue with a lost passport, I arrived 5 days late for a 10 day booking. Despite having let the travel agent know and them letting the hotel know, I was charged for the entire 10 days. I found this grossly unfair and there was absolutely no interest from the hotel staff in finding a resolution.

We are very, very sorry that a lost passport resulted in a travel interruption. We're also sorry that your travel agent was unable to assist you. We certainly do not "rip-off' our guests and we always empathize in situations like these. There are certain reservation types that are booked in advance and guaranteed through travel wholesalers. These wholesale travel agents...

I booked this on booking.com based off of a friends recommendation of the area. As first timers in San Fran, the location was prime. There are free bike rentals with helmets - perk! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the place smelled like had been cleaned every day. Highly recommend!

This hotel is odd - clear attempt to be current and hip but common areas and rooms are outdated and appear to have been untouched since the 80's. The earplugs by the bed were a bad omen and it was loud with cable car running below. Walls are thin if you have an adjoining room door you are not using....

Thank you for choosing to stay with the Stanford Court! I am sorry to hear that the hip trendy vibe wasn’t what you were expecting. Guests do love our Nod Hill program which does offer the ear plugs and many other amenities to keep our travelers happy that aren’t used to the urban noise of the city. If for any...

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
