    Stayed at Stanford hotel Saturday night. We were in town for the Chinese New Year parade. Hotel was clean, people were friendly, front desk was staffed well so that we waited little on check in and out. Nice area to stay.

    I saw no sign of a bar, but the desk manager on duty advised me about the nearby locations of three or four bars that proved to be quite fun. I got a $25/night upgrade to an outside view room and thought it was well worth it.
