The place is great, rooms are comfy and clean and you are next to Union Square. Don't expect too much from the breakfast but everything else is very acceptable. Amir and Anish are great and helpful. Definitely recommend.

We lucked out with an amazing deal through Groupon. The hotel staff were very friendly and the location was the best. Although the rooms are very small, they are cozy and were clean. There is no A/C so we found our room was too warm for us but we kept the windows open and it helped somewhat. I would never...

I have always loved the location of this place and have stayed here once, in a room facing the street. The room I had this time faced the back where the bathroom window was the only window in the room. Overall the room was okay, I just didn't like the weak shower stream. I stayed under at least twice as...

I'd like to preface this by saying I grade on a sliding scale. I don't grade a hotel like this like I would a Hilton or something. I got my room for 2 nights at $70/night on Groupon. I was satisfied with it. When I got there, I requested a room that didn't face Powell, and was accommodated. No air...

Straight forward clean room on the second floor with walk in shower, would be a small room for 2 people. Outside view of a nearby wall was fine with me. John's Grill is a block away, BART stop is 3 minutes walk, Union Square is 10 seconds away. Had a good sleep - solid option if you are OK with...

We took a chance on this hotel, thinking that it may surpass its rating of 2 stars, due to the location. We were looking for something on par with the Hotel Chancellor, which we stayed the previous year for a lower rate. The room was small and in need of a remodel. "Continental Breakfast" was their way of saving on...

Family of four stayed for 5 days, one of few hotels in area offering family rooms at good prices. Rooms clean and comfortable. Free Breakfast included, doesn't start until 8am daily, would be good if started a bit earlier to accommodate early flights. Lift is slow but only used when taking luggage. Would recommend as good value for money.

A marvellously positioned cheap accommodation. Clean and serviced daily with fresh linen and towels. If you can ignore the peeling paint and cracked floor tiles in bathroom, and the street noise, this accommodation is quite good. The beds were comfy. Great place if you just want a clean accommodation which is very well priced with no glamour.

We wee smack bang in the middle of things so expected some noise but the street performers were at it til qite late in to the night and the windows are definitely not thick enough to keep the racket out! The bathroom was immaculate and the toiletries provided were lovely. :-) It was quite hot and stuffy in the room...
