To be fair, I would rate the hotel at 3.5 if given the option. As mentioned in the title we had a nicely updated room and it was great once we were settled in. We were not aware of the construction zone ongoing at the Tuscan. I booked in November and moronically did not keep up with the tripadvisor reviews...

A great welcome from Kristen on our arrival made for a quick check in. The doorman so helpful and friendly in assisting. The room we had was smallish, clean, tidy, warm with nicely appointed bathroom and a comfortable bed. The location is just fantastic, a quick walk to Fisherman's Wharf, offers a great aray of things to do and restaurants...

We just returned from a week in San Francisco. They are doing some rehab of this hotel so we had a temporary lobby but had a newly remodeled room so we could live with the small inconvenience. Location was perfect. They charge $55 per night for parking but clued us in to parking next door at Safeway which was $36...

This is my last night of a 7 night stay. I am writing the review before I leave because I don't want to get home and get too busy to write my review. When I booked I knew from the reviews that the hotel was undergoing renovations but we really weren't prepared for the extent of the renovations. My husband...

We stayed at the Tuscan May 13-17 2017. We knew the hotel was under construction and that did not bother us as we don't spend much time there HOWEVER the pictures and details regarding the reno was very misleading.... The entire hotel Is being renovated so if your expecting a nice lobby, dust free environment this isn't the place for...

We stayed here for three nights. The building was being renovated at the time, so could be quite noisy first thing in the morning, or tradesmen using the only guest elevator available. You could hear quite a bit of road noise as well. Rooms were nicely presented, but fairly small. Staff were great. Hotel was located nice and close to...

First this motel was under SERIOUS renovations when we arrived, which should have been disclosed when booking. The front entry was confusing and guests were required to walk up a back staircases to a hallway with desks set up to check in. There was construction noise everywhere, and plastic sheeting blocking hallways and doorways. If we had known this we...

This hotel is in a great location on Fishermans wharf. The hotel has recently changed hands and will shortly become hotel Zoe and is undergoing renovation. The lobby area was a building site and the reception was a temporary desk so our first impressions were not good. However, the top floor had finished its makeover and the rooms were lovely,...

Arrived to find the hotel in a state of construction. No signage to the temporary lobby area so wandered around the bowels of the hotel for a while till I located it. Waited over an hour for my room, which still wasn't ready so was given another. No hot water in the shower. Front desk told me to run the...

We have come here many times over the years and have always liked the hotel and the location. This time, we arrived to a lobby completely torn up. The check-in area was a concrete room with card table-like tables set up to take our credit card. After we paid a 100 dollar deposit, plus our bill, we got a notice...
