The location of the hotel is very good, you are in the fishermans wharf neighborhood and close to everything. The room was small but adequate, and the bed was comfortable. They are doing a remodel and you may lose water during the day but they do a good job of notifying you in advance.

If you like historic hotels, this is for you. The place is small, rooms are small, but full of character. I'm used to big, modern hotels, but also love these nice little hotels that are full of history. If space and "old" smell bothers you, then this place isn't for you. Service is great and staff are friendly. Parking is...

We enjoyed our stay at the Tuscan. The location was perfect, right down by the Wharf. We booked two rooms one for ourselves and one for a family of three. We received a suite with a queen bed and a sitting room and just across was our friends with two queens. Their room was a bit tight but, it was...

This is a great small hotel walking distance of all that's SF The Wharf; Ghirardelli Square; the trolley; etc. Try and get a room overlooking the patio and gardens. You can walk everywhere even to the cruise dock.

What can I say, this hotel was amazing. It was hard for me to decide whether to stay in the fisherman wharf area or in union square. Are a while I decided to stay in the fisherman wharf area as there was more things in that area I wanted to do. I was sure this hotel would be good as...

Stayed at The Tuscan Jan. 17th-21st and I have to say I was really impressed with the staff and the location of the hotel itself. When we first arrived (around 10 am) they didn't make us wait to check-in, they had a room ready. We had come out to San Francisco for my birthday and to celebrate it, the hotel...

I enjoy the location of the Tuscan and that it has a restaurant. This year they were renovating the 4th floor which is actually a good thing as the bathroom smells musty. The only problem was the lack of hot water (due to renovations????) but to even get hot water you had to run the tub for an unbelievable amount...

Hey Traveler, Thank you for the review. You are right we are renovating, our entire hotel. We are very excited about the new product we are going to be bringing to the market place. We have had intermittent water shut offs to replace plumbing fixtures. We plan these from 10am-5pm to try not to disturb our guests who might be...

Warm welcome, very great staff. A bit pricey but not too bad compared to other hotel chains downtown San Francisco. Great restaurant located downstairs too. Easy access to Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, Coit Tower, Embarcadero, Pier 33 for Alcatraz tours, and there's also a shopping mall at the corner of North Point and Mason, very convenient (Safeway, Walgreens pharmacy...) Only...

This was an expensive hotel for us. The room was dated, and quite small for a family of 4. The doormen and front desk staff were great, very helpful. The hotel lobby always had chilled water, sometimes popcorn, and free coffee and tea every morning. It was a handy location. The hotel bar and restaurant was lovely, good food but...

The room was very nice, a family suite clean and with plenary of room for 2 adults and 3 kids, however the room (214) facing the road was super noisy. I asked to be moved, the staff were very professional but wanted to charge me an extra $200 for adjoining rooms. A good hotel but chose your room carefully.
