Our family enjoyed a fine four-day stay at the King George, just two blocks from Union Square and the Powell - Hyde/Mason cable car lines. Clean and comfortable though small rooms are tended to by a welcoming staff. Parking isn't cheap, but that's the case throughout downtown San Francisco, and the hotel made sure our car was always ready within...

This is a great location steps away from Union Square. I felt safe at all times coming and going into the night. There are homeless people who you will see out front of the hotel, one even slept next to the hotel in the alley, but we were never bothered by them at all. Rooms were small but clean. We...

I was looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay in San Francisco that didn't have a fortune of fees. San Francisco is tough to find a great price. Priceline.com will let you bid to a great price for the room rate, but you can easily end up with fees 1.5 times your room rate per day. Beware!!! I found...

Just spent about 5 days at the King George while attending a conference at the Hilton around the corner. It was very nice to get out of the bustling conference atmosphere and retire to the calm of the King George. The King George is a great little boutique hotel near the shopping and cable car turn around. Old building, quirky...

While our room was small it was clean with all the amenities one comes to expect. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the BART Station and Union Square ....... plently of...

The hotel is valued for money and located at the heart of the downtown area. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Although the rooms are small but it clean while being very comfortable. Overall a very good stay.

Very good service. Very responsive to requests such as extra towels and a late check out. Desk personnel very friendly. They make you feel welcome. I wish their Happy Hour had free wine like some of the other boutique hotels that I have stayed in. Overall I would stay here again.

The King George is an amazing value given its quality and location. Boutique style with some bits of its quaint historic character preserved, it is a modest place punching above its weight due to a staff working hard to offer a friendly experience. You will read reviews that rooms are small, and they are relative to the modern suburban US...
