I enjoyed my stay very much at the hotel King George. Jay and Vivian were particularly helpful kind and courteous. They shared details about travel sites restaurants etc. that made my trip much easier to navigate they also were very professional in the way they handled themselves. I will stay here again and I will tell my friends great experience. David Duckworth

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel Monday through Wednesday we enjoyed our stay and the customer service. Vivian was very sweet and helpful. Wednesday evening I was supposed to fly home back to Oregon when My fiance and I were hit by a car standing outside of our car at Golden Gate park. This was very traumatic, as we went to the hospital and once we both got released we needed a place to stay,we went back to the King George Hotel and they were extremely sweet,compassionate and accommodated our needs. Location is ideal and although there are lots of homeless folk in the city I never felt uneasy walking around the area, even at 4am when I had to walk across the street to the diner oppiste the hotel. I booked a standard double room which for many Americans will seem small, but for a solo traveller from England was ideal. The bathub is too small for a bath which was annoying but other than that the room was fine, even if it's a bit tired in certain areas of the interior. It was great being oppisite the Big Bus office where you can take the city tour and night tour. Most of the staff were very accomdating but some were very cold when you asked simple questions and what was really annoying was when I booked a taxi with one male receptionist who promised me it was confirmed but the next morning the taxi never showed. The wifi worked most of the time.…

Great hotel in a really good location ! The staff were all extremely helpful especially the barman Jay who was so very welcoming, fun and helpful ! Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco!

Room is clean, well equipped. I love the lounge with great atmosphere. Enjoyed drinking there. Love the bar too. Neighborhood is safe even at night. Location is super good to the center of the city and station.

The hospitality here was amazing. Check-in was hassle free and staff was very kind and helpful our entire stay. And knowing I was celebrating my birthday there that weekend, they sent us a complimentary bottle of wine each night, plus a note and some snacks to enjoy on our first night. The room was clean and the location very convenient, literally steps from union square and walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and even MOMA.

I’m a person don’t like to write any reviews but since I been stayed at King George. I feel I was treat very nice by every staff in hotel especially Vivian in front desk, she very helpful and a good advisor. This hotel made me feel safe and very comfortable. The price is very reasonable and the guess in this hotel is very educated too❤️

Based on the other reviews, I feel I got unlucky with a bad room. Avoid room 204 as it's low down and faces an alleyway that gets lots of noise from people sleeping rough, really early deliveries also. The ac is an old fan that was incredibly noisy. A radiator in my room also couldn't be turned off so the room was always incredibly warm. Room was dated, but very clean. Cannot fault cleanliness. Towels decent.

Clean, well run, basic hotel priced well. Right near union square. Shower was hot and pressure good. Bed comfy. Room somewhat small as expected for a small, in the city, not expensive hotel. Lobby was nice and good for meetings. Would stay there again.
