A great hotel at a reasonable price. Clean and comfortable. You're not staying at the Mark Hopkins and it is near Union Square, so it's not the best part of town. Would I stay there again? Yes as long as the weather is mild as there is no air conditioning in the rooms.

I understand this hotel isn't going to be for everyone, but it's location alone for it's comparable rate gets 3 stars. Very old and run down, but good enough to base yourself at if not just for a few nights. An adjoining bar to drink at was great fun one night. Valet parking, albeit as expensive as parking anywhere else....

Perfect location close to Union Square. Small hotel but has everything we needed. Staff was very efficient and pleasant. Yes, room on the small side but plenty of space for us and luggage. As it happens, all of our favorite cocktail spots and restaurants were withing a few blocks.

My husband and I ( from Sydney) stayed at Hotel Beresford for 3 nights in Jan 2017, room 409. The room was small but had a comfy bed, gas heater, clean and tidy bathroom, it was quiet there was no noise from the street. You need to ask reception for a hairdryer. The breakfast was yummy - a variety of...

The hotel is only a couple of blocks from Union Square and the main shopping area in San Francisco which is a public transport hub. The location is excellent and the price lower than average in the area. The staff are friendly and the room was clean. Mine had a bath tub and a big double bed. The only problem...

The hotel is in a great location for Union Square and Powell Street 'BART' train station. The hotel is clean but could do with a bit of tlc. If your want to use this place as a base while you go sightseeing then it's not a bad one. Breakfast isn't superb, cereal & croissants on paper plates in the adjoining...

Mixed review of good & bad. Location of this hotel is fantastic. A few blocks away from Union Square so a great base for sightseeing. I can't believe the prices displayed in the room though...$210-240 a night is ludicrous!! The room was fine & bed comfortable. A view of a wall & rubbish bags but didn't bother us as we...

My first impression was only so so finding the reception staff member less than friendly or welcoming. Room very small but reasonably clean. Price includes a continental breakfast which was good and the location is ideal, close to the main shopping centres. Service staff very friendly. Certainly worth a booking.

You pay for a room but they charge $35 extra a night for a parking spot. Which is fine but takes AT LEAST AN HOUR to get your car after calling in advance. Valet service here is TERRIBLE AND LAZY. Front desk is RUDE and UNHELPFUL. We asked for a room with a bathtub. They told us they didn't have...
