We were impressed from the start by the hotel as it is very quirky and different. It was cheaper than most hotels in San Francisco and it included parking so we were surprised by the quality. The staff were amazing and we felt very comfortable and relaxed. The rooms are huge and very well equipped. The furniture and decoration was... More

I will definitely stay here again. Can't say enough good things. Stayed here 2 nights in a single room with a double bed on the 5th floor. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It's a little off the beaten path, but a very short walk to Union Square or the BART. Plus it is nice to get away from all... More

Good hotel, clean room if a little noisy with daily rubbish collection. Not in best location as area was run down in comparison with most of city but easy to walk everywhere. We loved it because good value and in middle of all districts, so good base to see whole city.

The hotel is basic but provides all the essentials with great service and a lovely wine reception every evening so you can get to know other guests. The hotel staff were super and very friendly. It is an older type of building and the elevator proves interesting in its decor! The only criticism was that the shampoo and conditioner are... More

We stayed here for 4 nighs and were happy with the room and the service. The staff are pleasant and chirpy. The room was comfotable and had all of the facilities you would want. Good TV. The only downside is it is just outside of the centre so you need a taxi to get anywhere. Having said that we liked... More

I spent 4 nights in the hotel, having booked it through the internet, relying mostly on the comments at this site. I guess, the comments were fairly accurate. It's conveniently located - a walking distance to Union Sq and Chinatown and several options to connect with the public transportation within walking distance too (you may have to change bus/metro to... Older boutique style hotel that is perfectly well maintained, with a friendly reception and overall super value. Within easy walking distance to most attractions. Would stay there again ...no hesitation

I payed around $500 for a 4 night stay here over Pride weekend, so wasn't expecting much. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The room and public areas were clean, staff were very helpful with helping with liggage, tips for enjoying the city and directions. I really liked the location, I stayed here after a stay in Fisherman's Wharf and it... More
