This is a lovely hotel. There are nice rooms, lovely decor and a beautiful rooftop garden with running track. So neat! Right in the financial district, there is plenty to do without a car. Not highly recommended if you have kids though,, the amenities are more for adults. .

We stayed at the Galleria Park in November. We took the BART from the airport and this hotel was only a short walk from the station. The staff was very friendly and check in was a breeze. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The rooms are a bit small, but that is normal in San Francisco. The free wine...

Hotel is located on the west end of Sutter Street, right in downtown San Francisco, with short walking distance to downtown financial and shopping areas. You don't need to worry about finding parking while you shop! Compared to other hotels in San Francisco, this hotel is well maintained and with sufficient space. Staff are very friendly and the price is...

The only "but"i have is about the wifi, that works poorly. The crew is very frendly and available and help me to give flowers to my wife in her birthday, when we stayed there. and there was a cake, that I didn't ask, as a courtesy. I relly appreciate the mood and the staying. is near everithing and you can...

I stayed 3 nights at the Galleria Park during a busy convention week in the city when this was the only downtown place I could get. The rates were sky high but I had little choice. Anyway, the property on the surface seemed pleasant enough, rather European looking at the lobby level with a small seating area, a fireplace on...

We were in San Francisco for three days of shopping and visiting museums, and the Galleria Park was perfect. The hotel is only a couple of blocks from Union Square. It's also an easy walk to the Ferry Building and the Jackson Square area, both of which have great places to eat. For breakfast, there's Bread & Cocoa on the...

Hotel Galleria is centrally located, has beautiful decor and top notch service. My husband, myself and our two teenage boys spent a few days in this hotel and from the moment we arrived we were treated like VIP. We were even upgraded to a suite and had a bottle of wine delivered to our room. I highly recommend this hotel...

Great staff! We purchased wine in Sonoma and they were very happy to help us package it for our travels home. Room small, but very clean and comfortable and had a bathtub which is hard to find. Nightly wine reception was lovely, nice way to meet other travelers. Several good breakfast spots within a few minutes walk. Excellent choice!!

In the heart of the city. Great customer service, friendly helpful staff. What a treat to have wine served from 5:30-6:30 pm in the lobby-great way to meet other fellow traveler's and relax. I stayed here for a long weekend in August and was pleased with the hotel. The rooms are a bit small but they are clean and updated. Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Conveniently located in the heart of San Francisco, Galleria Park gives you easy access to everything the Bay Area has to offer to its visitors. The hotel is located with easy access to the Bay Area's central transit systems of BART, MUNI and the fabled cable cars. Within blocks are Union Square, Chinatown, the Financial District, Moscone Convention Center, and several world-class museums. The hotel is just steps away from world-class shopping destinations in Union Square--an area that is definitely a tribute to the power of shopping. Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York, Gump's and a very substantial Macy's are right on the Union Square. The venerable Bullock and Jones and Tiffany and Co. are within walking distance, as is the nine-story Westfield San Francisco Shopping Centre with its three-level Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's. It is also a center for exclusive couture and high fashion, with boutiques dedicated to Betsey Johnson, Kate Spade, Herve Leger, Karen Miller, and Michael Kors. Post Street, which is a block away from Galleria Park is where the high-end stores are located including Ralph Lauren, Ferragamo, Juicy Couture, Tory Burch, Ferrari and Porsche clothing stores. ... more   less
