Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of a 2 week trip. Lovely hotel for a short stay. Staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Beware this hotel is a couple blocks over from one of the rough areas of San Fran so I wouldn't recommend walking about by yourself. Its a 20 min walk from Union...

Ok, lets get this out of the way. A lot of parts of SF are dirty/dangerous, its a crowded city, it happens. We stayed here for a concert at Bill Graham center, and the hotel is right around the corner, couldn't ask for a better location. Parking is a little expensive ($42), but it includes unlimited ins/outs, and is in...

This hotel is very conveniently located in town and near civic centre building. The most i enjoyed about this hotel is its super comfortable bed and its pillows. One of the best i have ever stayed and make me sleep well and fresh in the morning.

Placed in a dangerous neighborhood. Room have never seen a vacuum cleaner in years... there was bird poop on it by the window... Staff was ok, but breakfast was a bit overpriced for a simple buffet... If I ever come back to San Francisco I will definitely avoid this area at all The hotel itself is also a bit pricey...

After spending 15 hours on a flight from Australia and then 6 hours touring the city it was a comfortable room with all the conveniences that my wife and I needed. A light evening meal in the dining room was appreciated. After touring all of the next day we enjoyed room service and some wine we had purchased in Napa...

This is a fine hotel. It's clean and reasonably comfortable. If anything lets this hotel down it's the location. The area is riddled with aggressive homeless as it's on the edge of a not so nice neighborhood. Kudos to the hotel maid for great service be changing all the pillows in the room after I left a note about their...

Some Holiday's Inn's are better than others. I booked this hotel because San Francisco is expensive and I am in the IHG rewards program. I appreciate IHG for trying to give their customers the most bang for the buck. I stayed in this hotel for three days. Would I return? Probably, I didn't dislike it!! Restaurant: They do have a...

The hotel location is in downtown but not quite centrally located and the hotel surrounding is a bit dark and not clean. The rooms are reasonably nice and the service is good. Not value for money for the things that we get.

We stayed here recently while we attended the Sales Force Conference and then spent a few days exploring the Bay Area. The hotel was quite clean and everything worked well in our room. The entire staff was friendly and attentive. The location made it quite convenient for us. Only thing we would have liked was to have the bar open...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
