Staff were good about dealing w a booking error on my part, but then said they were sending me to a nicer room when they made a mistake putting me into a room that was already booked. However, unlike the rest of my colleagues, room had no balcony, no view of the water! The bath was set off by a...

During my stay at the hotel I had to switch rooms. The first room I was in smelled like sewage. I figured out that the smell was actually coming from the bed. The second room they put me in someone had left a full set of fake eyelashes on the nightstand along with some bobby pins. The gym was actually...

The decor of room and the whole hotel is modern. Room is spacial with impressive bridge/water view. It looks even nicer in the evening. Hotel bar looks nice and busy. Hotel is located in a very safe and touristy location. Highly recommend for both business traveler and tourists.

The only good point is the location. Apart from this you are confronted with a lack of refurbishing investments and personnel that is unable to flexible react to customer requests. And the lifts take ages....

Arrived at this hotel - long line to check-in. Two people at the front desk - I'm guessing the others were on a dinner break. Here is the unbelievable part: It is 11:30p for me (8:30p here) - I drag myself up to my room. I haven't eaten since Noon Central time. I started unpacking and called extension 54 for...

We had an excellent room. Great location, great service and not that bad of a price. Price for parking was a bit high but other that that, things were great. Halving a room on the higher floors is a real benefit. We managed to be located away from the elevators so it was great.

Beware that a lot of the restaurants within walking distance of the hotel are not open on the weekends as this is a business district. That said it's a great location for easy access to the ferry building and public transportation. We had a very nice room with a beautiful view of the bay bridge (1256), but the bed was...

This Hyatt Regency prides itself of offering the largest atrium in the country. It is indeed monumental! The large hotel is well-located if you have business in the Financial District or the Embarcadero. It is a short cab ride from Union square (a 15-20 minute walk). The hotel is relatively modern, the rooms are well appointed, although over the years...

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
