Spent three days and two nights. Excellent location but room kind more on the fair side. Carpet was old and stained. Shower only and bumped head when shaving--very small. Had to pay for car parking. Should have expected that but I actually wasn't. Costly for what we got--but hey it's San Francisco. Location was awesome.

Great location, walking distance to quite a few main places. Fishermans Wharf, Ghiradelli Square to name a couple. Very reasonably priced. Rooms were clean and nice, housekeeping came in everyday and did great work. Staff was friendly and courteous. They were also helpful with tips on places to go/see/eat as well. Parking was plentiful, do have to pay, but a...

Dear Anthony R. Thank you for the review, we are glad to know that you had a wonderful stay here and that we will have the pleasure of your visit in the future. Parking does have a fee of $17.26 per night but as you mentioned this is a bargain in San Francisco. I appreciate you let me know that...

My daughter and I came into town looking for an apartment. I wanted a hotel in the same area so based on the price I thought it would be a nice place. There were cheaper hotels but I decided to spend a little more. However on arriving I was a little disappointed. I felt it was just above a motel...

Large clean rooms. Friendly, helpful service at check in desk. Nice breakfast area , decent breakfast and good staff. Charges for parking per day but so glad to have a place to park in San Francisco. Within 4- 5 blocks of walking to get to the bay. Can walk right to Cannery Row and Fisherman"s Wharf and Pier 19. Recommend...

This place beats a Marriott, a Hilton, or even a Fairmont hands down. While you'll be stuck in these so-called "luxury" chains in rooms with connecting doors, extra fees for things like Internet (despite paying a fortune for each night), arrogant front-desk staff who cannot be bothered to help unless you're a celebrity of some kind; this property was: -...

We spent 2 nights in San Francisco, and it was really hard to find a hotel room that was in a reasonable location, with an option for parking at less than $200/day... We worked hard to find a good rate, and knew we weren't booking into a luxury hotel, so our expectations weren't unreasonable when we arrived. The front desk...

Amazing customer service! Carlos, the front desk personnel, was very attentive to our needs and extremely friendly. The hotel has a great location, most of touristy attractions at a walking distance. Because of the central location it can be a bit noisy, if you are one of those people that can't sleep with a little noise, this may not be...

Avoid this hotel, it's just the worst I've been to. To start, the property quality is horrible, you can hear the steps of the room above you resonating in your room like an accoustic box. Bad maintenance, the bathroom had the WC detacched from the floor (yes it almost fell when you used it), the safety box was not working...

Hello, I am really sorry to hear that your room was not up to par. This is very unlike the experience that the majority of our guests have. You were in the Exterior corridor building which is an older style motel building. Next time, please ask for the Interior corridor building which is newer and better insulated from other guest's...

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
