My husband and I recently stayed at The Donatello and I must say that the hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were quite large (for a city hotel) and I enjoyed the amenities such as the white bathrobe, in room safe and wine glasses (hate drinking wine from glass tumblers!). The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very...

This hotel is 1 block from Union Square, making it easy to walk everywhere we wanted to. We took advantage of the room + parking deal for $172 per night. We thought this was a great price and alleviated any need to worry about parking our rental car which is impossible and expensive in SF. The hotel room was clean...

Booked in advance and had a great rate for our 3 nights stay at Club Donatello in July. Had a king room on 14th floor vwith cityview. Traffic noise was ok but if the room faces Post St, it could be noisy. Staff was very nice to us, room was big with big bath. Water pressure wasn't always strong but...

The best part of staying here was the service and staff. Convenient Location. Rooms were Comfortable. Air Cond didn't work great, but with temp in S.F. never getting above 65, it wasn't a big problem. It was NOT noisy. Live music in the bar. Parking onsite in garage. Make reservation in advance for best value. Good Fresh Coffee on club...

The location is great, the stuff is warm and friendly, the room was large and comfortable. I had a problem with not receiving a package that was sent to me, and the Hotel Service Manager tried to help me far beyond his duty.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite and booked in advance the price was very good. Our room was very spacious and clean but the noise from the street kept me awake at night. Parts of the room were a little bit tired and it feels very corporate overall. The bathroom didn't have a full bath. The location is...

MAIN PROBLEM: noise from music on streets/nightclub. We were very high but it still kept us awake on both nights. What a pity as hotel good. This is why we would probably not go back again. Valet parking good but $28+tax per night. Enjoyed our stay. The Friday cheese/wine was brilliant - sat on roof terrace and had a 'merry'...

Stayed five nights here. My second visit to the Donatello. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a small microwave, fridge, coffeemaker and utensils. The location is a few steps from Union Square. Staff polite and helpful. Can recommend without reservation.

Stayed five nights at the Donatello with two children, great rooms and great service and above all agreat location and value for money. We had a room with a patio area which was great for morning coffee from the complimentary club room on the top floor. All in all a great hotel and would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting...

...staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Hotel was very clean. Turn-down service was nice to come back to every evening. Would definitely recommend, especially if wanting to tour the heart of San Fran.
