Treated ourselves to one night here after staying in Fishermans Wharf for three nights, we took the cable car up to the hotel, lovely experience. On arrival we were asked if we would like to upgrade our room for $60, we said yes as long as we had a bay view!! Our room was on the 18th floor and when...

Thank for your kind words about the hotel. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the stunning tower views. While we are admittedly biased, we feel they are the most beautiful in the City. Thank you again for your kind words and we look forward to welcoming you again. Sincerely, Lucas Schumacher

We had a wonderful weekend here. The hotel itself is beautiful! Wow! The vestibule area is large and open with wide columns and high ceilings. The bar area was full of comfortable seats and attentive wait staff. Drinks and small plates were delicious. Loved the bedroom and beds. Wide hallways to the rooms. Lovely in every way.

Stayed here on a business trip the second week of August. A wonderful older hotel with terrific history. Our room was on the inside and our view was not something to get too excited about. However, it was comfortable and the staff was more than accommodating. The only drawback was that the service in the lobby bar seemed rather slow...

Atop Nob Hill, one of the most justifiably famous hotels anywhere. Look out the window towards the Pacific Union Club and Grace Cathedral. Step out the front door and look down the street towards the bay, Alcatraz. Lobby is immense and beautiful. Our suite was large and beautifully decorated in soothing grays. Toiletries delicious rose scent. Bummer was our next...

Thank you for your kind words about the hotel. I'm pleased to hear you had such a nice visit in spite of your noisy neighbors. Our recently renovated suites are some of the largest in the City, so it's nice to hear you enjoyed them. Thanks again and we hope to welcome you again in the near future. Sincerely, Lucas...

The hotel was incredible. Loved everything about it. A little pricey but worth it! Much better value than other hotels in this category. Do try the Tonga room for a bite to eat and maybe a drink or two. It is exceptional!

Not typically a place we'd stay at, but we were there for a wedding and the reception was here. We've experienced better at so many less expensive places. They were overall condescending and borderline rude. Huge closet, could have slept two. Large room with only one comfortable chair. Towels were not well stocked on the second day. The towels they...

This hotel was built in 1907, but has been kept up to date with the most modern of hotels. Very beautiful with upscale décor and furnishings, it is quite expensive, but so is the cost of living in San Francisco. I attended a seminar there and the meeting rooms were quite comfortable with outstanding refreshments and service to the attendees....

Stayed here recently for a 4 night stay. We arrived a few hours before checkin time and were happy to leave our bags and come back, but they offered us our room right away along with an upgrade to a better room type. We were thrilled! Room was lovely - with gorgeous views over the bay. Amazing. It had a...

We recently returned from our stay and loved every minute of it! From the moment you walk into the lobby you are overwhelmed by it's elegance. Our accommodation was in a king room with a city view. Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us. I'm very pleased to hear you had such a nice visit and found the room so well-appointed. A very classy old world-style luxury hotel, gorgeous lobby and common spaces. Upon our arrival the parking area in front of the hotel was full so our cab driver let us off just on the side. Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
